I always thought the original series was mostly fine with some good parts. I never got the love and the several sequels it got. It could get kind of obnoxious at times. That animation is horrible, but the original wasn't great either though it worked better in 2D. I don't think most of it holds up very well. I hate the animation style, but hopefully the writing is decent. The writing for the original series fell off a cliff for the last few seasons. So many episodes of "oh no, we can't fix this because we lost our wands again." it looks like Butch is coming back for this one, but he was also responsible for the last few seasons of the original series so who knows. --- If she said we partied, then I'm pretty sure we partied. This is a pretty decent batch. Sparrow and Fearow are early birds that actually pack a punch, unlike the Pidgey lines. Pikachu and Raichu are classics. Sandslash is one of those mons that deserved a third evolution years ago but it never happened. Arbok has a great design, but unfortunately its stats, typing, and movepool are a huge letdown. Nidoran F and Nidoran aren't great on their own, but Nidoqueen is top tier so they get higher remarks than they would've on their own --- If she said we partied, then I'm pretty sure we partied. Only certain trainers are actually available to rebattle. This is easily forgotten, since there are so few towns/trainers to begin with, granted. You're basically stuck grinding against that "We're the Five X trainers!" circle in that one town over and over again. And they never change their party. not true the colosseums with the tournament style gameplay all give money for winning and can be done infinitely the fort where miror b lives never clears and the trainers can be rematched the entirety of pyrite town is filled with trainers the under has trainers agate town has trainers just off the top of my head --- If she said we partied, then I'm pretty sure we partied.
