That doesnt change the price of a solar panel at all. It would make the mounting pieces marginally more expensive up front but again fewer smashed panels.

I'm hoping I am misunderstanding you but solar panels are already prohibitively expensive for most people...imagine adding motors and other moving mechanical parts to them that need maintenance.
