Yeah its definitely necessary because it stops fights from being cake walks. With proper set ups you can get a Servant to do 10s of millions of HP in one turn so gating enemy phases on HP alone with no break bars doesnt work well.

That's the bonus you got. Every EoR chapter gives bonus bond to certain types of Servants. For Shinjuku it's evil Servants, for Agartha it's female, for Shimousa it's Knight classes (Saber, Archer, Lancer), and for Salem it's Casters

She debuted as a playable character in The Seven Counterfeit Heroic Spirits and then had several roles in other events including a form of her being Santa in Christmas 2 and being the welfare in Sunmer 3

Wait until you get around to reading the old events if you do that and actually see her character arc.

Shes pretty great. Not really my type specifically overall but still good.

Fun fact btw the Solomon singularity was a collaborative raid against the demon pillars initially (you do the final fights only now). The funny part is that it was timed, and the Korea server ended up not beating them in time, so the devs had to cheat for them to win. So its a joke that the Korea server is a doomed timeline because actually Goetia won.

The demon pillars are generally pretty easy. The only somewhat hard fight in Solomon is Goetia himself.

Sparkle and Bronya don't fix any of my problems I have with the fight.

At least the game is nice enough to not use you TP if you lose so you can experiment some.

Gah the boss drops I need the most for traces right now are all the bug boss and he kicks my ass on-level.

If I do the difficulty before I barely stand a chance unless I grab a support Clara who just utterly wrecks that fight. Even Jingliu and DHIL supports sometimes struggle carrying me enough.

I think my Lynx just isn't built enough to put out enough healing (or live) and Bailu doesn't cleanse which causes issues.

Well hopefully having better relics will help soon. Even mediocre ones will be an upgrade to most of my characters- most are still just using whatever cowboy/break basic sets I've found. Black Swan is almost done being trace'd up (I'm going to get her talent to 9- 10 is a bit much for me right now). I think I'll do a bit of relic farming before leveling Sparkle heavily, I kinda need them right now.

5 buttons is the ABSOLUTE minimum. It's so ridiculously useful to have more options on your right hand for buttons once you get used to it.

DPI settings, though, yeah you can get by without using them. Its only real useful purpose is changing between sensitivities for FPS games IMO, but even then most modern FPS have built in options for this so its kind of redundant.

Yeah to be clear, OT2 is a *lot* better than OT1 in terms of writing. It is mostly still 8 separate stories, but the stories and characters are much better quality over all. I didn't like the low levels of party interaction either, but I was actually invested in like 6/8 of the stories to at least some degree, and probably 3 of those I'd say were really stand out interesting and even emotional.

And they tie it together at the end much more effectively than 1 did.

Its possible the improved strengths it does have may make up for the down sides even if you weren't super into OT1. It did for me. That said, there are so many games out these days to choose from, it might not be worth the attempt for the 'maybe'. Up to you.

Yeah agreed that OT2 is basically just OT1 but better. It executes what it sets out to do much better than 1, but it still sets out to do a very similar thing.

I've finally caught my Black Swan up in levels and put a jank bunch of relics on her (which tbf is 98% of my relics so far on everyone anyway) but still need to do her traces.

Once those are acceptable (like 6s maybe) I'll level Sparkle, then its gonna be to the relic grind. Probably for Kafka first.

I used my Ratio, and the trial Ruan Mei, Himeko, and Lynx (Himeko and Lynx were better than mine slightly)

Unless Zodiac Age has nothing in common with the game it's a remaster of, bad list.

It changes a LOT about the gameplay. Making characters class based so there are meaningful choices and adding turbo buttons alone makes the gameplay much more interesting by itself and there are loads more changes on top of those. XII Zodiac Age is actually one of the best gameplay FFs in the series.

The story still kinda sucks for the most part though, they didn't change that. I probably wouldn't put it second but in the upper third is definitely acceptable.

Otherwise its a pretty good list. XV down where it should be. I'd have a few changes here and there (V and IX would be higher and VIII a bit lower) but its fine.

Though yeah some inclusions and exclusions (why are X-2, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns not included?) are weird.

Yeah I just mentioned dual DPS because I don't know what swordz has for units and was only thinking about free ones.

If he has Tingyun and Hanya though he absolutely should be able to build 2 functional teams out of that.

Though some people are speculating Dual DPS might be the meta sometime soon because of Something Unto Deaths mechanics punishing single DPS setups (not that the story version is that hard, but still it shows they're thinking about mechanics to change things up).
