This was one of those stories where the memes about this woman just won't stop with older dudes. It's akin to Tiger King/Carol Baskin, or Brad's wife from Cracker Barrel in that they're just beating a dead horse years later.

PSO was great, but it was no Phantasy Star 4 sequel.

It's like the main series finally found its footing. The first three had issues - mostly just feeling dated among Square and Enix - but then IV was one of the best 16-bit RPGs.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Keaton, Ryder, and O'Hara give me some hope, but Tim Burton hasn't made a good movie in decades. And to be a crabby nit picker, I kinda hate the trend of trailers using a slowed down version of songs like that in a saccharine fashion.

Yeah, that was about as generic as a trailer can be. It's like it checks all the boxes of movie trailer cliches.

But I've never liked trailers, and they're not a good indicator of what the movie is like anyway, so it might be good.

Not at the moment, but off and on since the late 90s.

Unless Hades 2 comes out, probably.

The Will Smith-fronted zombie survival video game Undawn bombed, according to a new report.

Reuters said Undawn, which it described as a key in-house developed game from Tencent, flopped spectacularly despite being endorsed by Hollywood star Will Smith and with an alleged budget of close to 1 billion yuan (around $140 million). Sources told the publication Undawn had more than 300 developers.

PC and mobile game Undawn launched in June to much fanfare that revolved around the digital recreation of Will Smith in-game. The Oscar-winning actor plays Trey Jones, who acts as a guide to help players navigate the world four years after a global disaster.

But even Will Smith couldnt save Undawn from failing to move the needle for Tencent. According to Reuters, quoting research firm Appmagic, Undawn brought in revenue of just $287,000 last month. IGN has asked Tencent for comment.

The failure of Undawn is one of many reasons for a strategic shift at Tencent that has also resulted in the potential delay of mobile game Assassins Creed Jade. Tencent is said to be focusing on casual party games and games like Genshin Impact, while moving away from working on mobile versions of Western IPs.

Tencent reportedly axed development of a mobile game based on Square Enixs Nier franchise because it couldnt work out a compelling monetisation model. An Elden Ring mobile game is also reportedly in development at Tencent, but dont hold your breath it sounds like this ones a while away. Apparently Tencent wants the Elden Ring mobile game to work similarly to gacha game Genshin Impact, with a free-to-play business model supported by in-app purchases. But the design of Elden Ring, which is a single-player, premium action role-playing game, is at odds with Tencents vision.

At a Game Developers Conference (GDC) panel today, Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke dropped something of a bombshell by revealing that the developer isn't planning to release any expansions or DLC for Baldur's Gate 3, nor a Baldur's Gate 4.

Instead, Vincke said at the panel, Larian plans to move away from Dungeons & Dragons entirely and do something new, leaving the IP in publisher Wizards of the Coast's hands.

It's a big surprise, considering the massive success of Baldur's Gate 3, with many fans assuming that a DLC or expansion would be on the way. Larian has released several major free patches that have added, among other things, a playable epilogue party.

Larian has also commented about the possibility of doing a DLC in the past. Speaking to IGN at gamescom 2023, senior product manager at Larian Studios Tom Butler said they had "discussions" on doing more for Baldur's Gate 3, although they were focused on patches then.

IF THERE IS A BALDUR'S GATE 4, IT WON'T BE COMING FROM LARIAN.

"We'll carry on patching for a while and then we're all going to take a holiday and then we'll figure out what we do next," Butler said at the time. "But at the moment, we genuinely have discussions. We want to do more. We don't know what yet."

Beyond that, however, Larian has never officially said more Baldur's Gate 3 was on the way. As previously mentioned, though, plenty of new content has been added to the hit RPG since last year's August launch, and there's so much in the massive game already that the physical edition comes in at four disks. The developers are currently working on a "robust and cross-platform" mod support plan to accommodate additions from the community as well.

The first and second Baldur's Gate games were developed by BioWare. Before Baldur's Gate 3, Larian was best known for developing the Divinity series.

It seems like Larian's next project could be another Divinity entry. In an interview with IGN shortly before the release of Baldur's Gate 3, Vincke said a Divinity: Original Sin sequel was "definitely" on the horizon, but the team needed to work through Baldur's Gate 3 first.

It's unclear if Hasbro, which owns Wizards of the Coast, will look to another developer for a potential Baldur's Gate 4, but the property has no doubt been hugely successful for them. It was revealed last month that Hasbro has made a whopping $90 million off Baldur's Gate 3. In addition to the financial success, Baldur's Gate 3 has been a huge hit among fans and critics as well, winning the top prize at last year's Game Awards and getting a 10/10 from several outlets, including IGN.

Elsewhere at the panel, Vincke also showed off early versions of various characters, including a very different Astarion.

The Tennessee Senate has passed a bill targeting "chemtrails."

SB 2691/HB 2063, sponsored by Rep. Monty Fritts, R-Kingston, and Sen. Steve Southerland, R-Morristown, passed in the Senate on Monday. The bill has yet to advance in the House.

The bill claims it is "documented the federal government or other entities acting on the federal government's behalf or at the federal government's request may conduct geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere, and those activities may occur within the State of Tennessee," according to the bill.

The legislation would ban the practice in Tennessee.

"The intentional injection, release, or dispersion, by any means, of chemicals, chemical compounds, substances, or apparatus within the borders of this state into the atmosphere with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight is prohibited," the bill reads.

The bill is scheduled to go to the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday.

It is one of the worst games that has ever been made. There is no salvaging it. Everything about it is terrible to the core. Patches and DLC and mods cannot fix Starfield. Its problems run far deeper than just technical performance and bugs.A "fixed version of Starfield" would have to be an entirely different game with a different structure and a new setting.

The game was kind of average, but this is a massive exaggeration. The game's worst aspect is it's bland and boring. It's still playable.

I want to watch it, but I kind of want to watch the original again first. I don't know how much it has to do with the series or how much it relies on the series.
