Yeah, this happened with DLsite in Japan. They sell a lot of digital goods, including those with adult content, and they basically got threatened to remove it or not be able to receive payments. They were pretty bold and basically told Visa/MC to fuck off and just stopped dealing with them, but now it's harder to make purchases since most people outside Japan probably don't have a JCB card. Though I don't think people outside Japan really make up much of their sales volume anyway, so it doesn't affect them all that much either way, it's still pretty shitty on the American cards' part.

Absolutely not ok with it. If that's how people want to spend their money, they should be free to do so, and it's none of Visa or MC's business as long as those people are making their payments on the card.

Honestly, probably the majority are pushing some political narrative or another, and rarely subtlely. The issue is less the websites and more peoples' lack of critical thinking skills. Of course I don't approve of those who take advantage of this to push their propaganda, but the point stands that it's the internet as a whole being weaponized, not just Twitter.

This, at least not on a regular basis. It's great for colds when you want both the antihistamine effect and the help to sleep, but it's not something you should be relying on primarily as a sleep aid.

Honestly, medication in general I'm not even sure if is a good idea for most people, since most drugs used for insomnia are either indicated for something else (eg. antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics) and just happen to be good for insomnia too (great if you need treatment for both though), and/or have dependence/addiction potential (eg. zopiclone, benzodiazepines). Like I use Hydroxyzine sometimes to sleep when my anxiety is really bad (like maybe once a month or so), but otherwise I just try to avoid sleep aids. Also because it makes me feel incredibly tired the next day, but yeah. Daridorexant seems like an interesting one though, since it seems to be primarily for insomnia and doesn't have the same dependence risk that Zopiclone dose. Fairly expensive though, and somewhat new, so potential risks aren't going to be as well-documented yet as older medications.

In Ontario (Canada), pharmacists can prescribe it. I assume it's a similar thing in Chicago. For the record, we have the same prescribing requirements here (within 5 days of symptom onset).

Although, in the pharmacy I work at, our pharmacist doesn't really like to prescribe it at all and just refers to physician, since pharmacies don't have access to blood testing for renal function, and dosage or whether the patient should take it at all depends on their eGFR.

Agreed. Honestly, I never really enjoyed either one of them in the first place for just that reason... LoD was a slog to get through, and LoL I gave up on about halfway through. And the random battles were a major part of it for both of them.

This. Exercise is only a small part of calories out and helps more for general health than weight. Most are from maintaining basic body functions, and this varies by person from a ton if factors like age, sex, size, metabolism, etc. If you need less calories than others, then you need to lower food intake to meet your own body's usage. This is where most people struggle because hungry --> eat --> calories in go up. Junk food western society doesn't help either of course

Yes, you can save money through building and upgrading your own, but keep in mind that what you save in money, you lose in time and hassle. If you enjoy the process, or have a lot of spare time but limited funds, this can be well worth it; but if not, it may not be.

This. Imo, just pick a GPU that will satisfy your needs for the next 5 years or so, and build around that. Also pick a manufacturer that's reliable. Some manufacturers have bad reps. I went with ABS (Newegg) for my current one though, since I heard they're pretty good, and I haven't had any issues with it either.

This, though China/Hong Kong was probably a factor in starting this mess even before. Now Russia wants Ukraine, CN wants Taiwan, and NK wants SK. Once one is done, the others will follow, and they'll all assist each other while Orange Guy will probably ignore or even promote it all. And from there we'll see them go for more of Europe, Japan, SEA, etc. Losing Ukraine will be the start of a nightmare from hell.
