I can't believe people are defending a cashier fully knowing the customer isn't able to keep up and choosing to throw food on the floor regardless. Maybe crying and shaking was an extreme reaction but you can't empathize at all that she might have been super embarrassed? What if other customers had their phones out recording the situation making it even more stressful? What if she's dealing with mental or physical health issues? Christ, does it even matter.

What if it was your own mother that the cashier made cry? "Should have packed faster, ma! Brought it on yourself!". Lovely.

Ive said this before when one of his specials came out but I thought the one joke he told years ago where he said one they/them, or many they/them, (coming after him) was funny.

No, he isnt playing a character and thats not even something up for debate or interpretation. It is not ambiguous. This has been thoroughly established through multiple specials, public speaking, and statements made.

Its not something you need to take anyones word about. These are facts which have been established for years.

If Dave Chappelle got up on stage saying Im team racism! and started peddling racist disinformation, talking about black people are genetically inferior or have different brains from white people, pseudoscience about being different kind of human, so on and so forth, he would absolutely get torn to shreds by the same people calling him out now for his unabashed bigotry and transphobia.

Nobody serious is buying tickets to that dog and pony show, and the only ones carrying tickets have a clear agenda fueled by their prejudicial bias.

Similarly, if he wanted to make jokes on trans topics that were actually good rather than serving as little more than a vehicle to be a transphobe, we wouldnt see this kind of public outcry. Poor excuses all around.

One of the complaints about his newer material, aside from eschewing comedy to attack the LGBT+ community, is his erasure of black trans lives and experience, and pitting minorities against each other. This is from voices of the black LGBT+ community, and allies, who work together with intersectionality in mind.

Thats why ultimately a lot of the outrage in response even if it comes from a good place(and hes not helped the situation by doubling down) kinda has rung hollow to me.

Not sexuality. I always knew I was attracted to women.

I have often wished I was born the other sex, though. I remember wishing that from a young age. I don't have dysphoria, so I don't want to take the steps to transition. Especially in the current climate. If I could press a magic button to change I would, though.

Its actually common for trans women to not realize they have gender dysphoria or to believe its not that bad before transitioning, due to trauma associated with depersonalization and repression.

Im surprised post #28 is still up. Denying trans people exist is textbook transphobia.

We are already at about 1.5C above pre-industrial avg temperatures (1850 baseline) and will hit +2C by the next decade. It is accelerating, with no feasible means to slow it down or much less reverse the heating.
