Edit: and as an answer to the actual question. You are supposed to balance your work life and private life. Just overworking yourself into the next burnout is not how you are supposed to live.

Also, garlic aioli is redundant. Aioli is always garlic based.

My dad's side of the family gave up on Christmas day together several years ago, but we did spent Christmas Eve together. And the 26th (Second Christmas Day by Dutch tradition) has always been spent with my mom's side of the family.

Ultimately, I do like the resolution, mostly just hung-up about not knowing what was actually going on, aside from the murders.

Inga's actual plot is never actually clarified and with him being the most interesting Khura'in character, I do wonder about it. I mean, the Amara/Garan stuff is very clearly just a do-over of the Misty/Morgan stuff. With the biggest difference being the husbands actually sticking around and being important. Yet, we never learned Inga's actual intent. Was he just a pawn of Garan? Was he trying to raise up Rayfa to overthrow Garan? (I know, Garan tries to imply he wanted the Founder's Spiritual Power for himself, but we know as player the Khurain Channeling Power is only for women, and as pointed out, he did not know the name of the Founder, implying he could only have been doing it for someone else.)

When the collection came out. Been playing and replaying the games through the Collections. Only never played the 3DS titles before hand.

All that is left is Investigations collection. (The official names will take some time getting used to probably) And I suppose I also never played the Layton Crossover, but I am not seeing that one return anytime soon.

I do hope there is going to be atleast one more psychology session. And those are just way more fun than the seances, those are terrible.

Although at this point, the writing is on the wall and after doing 2-4 and 3-5, next up is 1-4, with redoing a case from a long time ago. And what do you know, we now have the name and face of someone who perished in said fire to aim a seance at...

So in the last 2 weeks, I slowly made my way through the second half of Spirit of Justice.

6-3 was a nice subversion of the "always murder" that this series tends to go for. A convoluted suicide gambit was definitely not what I was expecting.

6-4 was short and sweet, but had me read into DID and had me amazed at how seemingly correct the writing got Uendo's DID. The realization of what the 4th alter was, just made me break up and cry (before I read about DID, learning about mental defence mechanics and little alters made it all so much sadder in retro-respect).

6-5 Civil Trial was amazing, even if it circled back to murder, I always had a soft spot for the Stolen Turnabout's initial set-up. Sarge's story also completely broke me. The (half) case felt very intentionally Farewell my Turnabout to me.

Which leads me to the final (half) case. Garan just did her evil costume switch before I stopped playing and I am so not sure I am ready for the grand finale.

Kinda sad Inga is the victim, he was by far one of the more interesting, non-derivative characters. Garan just feels like Morgan 2.0 to me. Now, with people turning out to be alive, the set-up is starting to feel very Bridge to the Turnabout, leading to the obvious question I want and do not want to ask, who has been channeling who? With Amara back in play, we actually have 3 known channelers around, so things might be kinda crazy.

The obvious candidate, knowing the writers, would be Dhurke, except he appeared several times along with Maya, but with Amara actually in play...
I do hope there is some grand weirdness going on like Garan killed Inga in his sleep and then channeled him to set up Dhurke for the murder, with Inga just continuing what he was doing while channeled, because he never realized he died. The game went really heavy into establishing that channeled spirits do not remember anything since dying, meaning I am expecting they introduced that for just some silly AA shenanigans like that.

Yes, will also do the DLC/Extra case afterwards, but not expecting that to be grand finale worthy.

Edit: Also, Phoenix... Thalassa gave you 1 job, 1 job! At this rate, either Polly or Trucy is going to take Dhurke up on that joke.

Edit 2: So much focus on Nayna, currently unavailable, so likely candidate for being Amara, currently channeling someone. Best bet is still Dhurke, because the writers like to make Polly suffer. So the question is whether Dhurke has been dead all along, or died during the hostage exchange...

Also, kinda forgot this one, but Inga's little notebook. Prosopagnosia?

Quick google, that's how it is yes. We have three distinct word for headwear with a brim in the front, headwear with a brim all around and headwear without a brim.

I would have never considered calling that a hat.

Not due for a while. 2026 for city council. National is a ways away if they do not fall, and if they do, they won't be replaced until well into next year either.

The current cabinet's balance has been rather precarious yes.

When speaking with certain friends, we just go between Dutch and English seemingly at random.

I also have a tendency to throw in random English words at times when speaking Dutch.

So yes, it is a thing people do and I would not call people shitty for doing it.
