In act 2 it is starting to get repetitive on my sorc character. trying to spice things up by trying different spells but what I have "works" I guess since I am still killing bosses in 1-2 tries...

Not sure if I should be focusing on one element in my spells. I am using ice for freeze and fire for damage but levels are slowing down and I am not really moving through my sphere grid that much anymore at level 20. plus my hotkeys are getting annoying casting like 6 different spells on every mob.

at one point in the Swag Era it was all you could find.
yes you can bend the brim but it always looked too wide still.
dad caps work better for me because I have a severely long and narrow head.

fair enough, I don't like that they are charging for early access too, given that the game will be free later on. but I got a key from a friend so not a big deal.

I am playing this game and it is pretty good. Never played a ARPG before, I can tell why they are popular.

haven't played it yet. I was sort of interested when it came out, and it's been on my wishlist to wait for a sale. but each year there are just more games that catch my eye and the discount hasn't been enough to really consider it.

I like From's Souls-type games so I bought ER at full price. but it's not like that makes AC a gem too...

we had a Mac in my family. my dad used to boot it in the morning, go make a cup of coffee. and then when the coffee was done the OS was finally ready to use.

nowadays I boot my pc at 10AM for my 10AM meeting.

people who rage at honking are pretty unstable so it's better to avoid it. I honked too long when some old lady tried to merge into me once. she proceeded to cut me off and brake check me, not just once but over and over again for the next 5 minutes on the road. she kept going into other lanes and then cutting me off when I tried to pass. I don't know if she had nothing better to do or what. but yeah that kind of thing happens a lot.

I'm going to go with the Metaphor ReFantazio... Demo.
I played Dragon Age Veilguard, but I definitely had more fun with the Metaphor ReFantazio Demo even though it was literally just a demo.

That demo was definitely better than Hades 2 which is the only other game I played this year.

Remnant: From the Ashes is probably the worst game I played this year, or let's just say in recent memory. Some games look so bad that I wouldn't even give them a shot, but Remnant was a recommendation and has okay reviews. It wasn't the worst game I have ever played in my life, but it was shockingly disappointing.

it is also coupled with the way the camera shakes when you run or hit enemies. Constant zoom in, zoom out on sprinting and using skills. I just grew used to Souls and Souls-adjacent games not doing that and it makes me really uncomfortable for some reason.

Is this mostly just a western thing? I can't stand the cinematic slow mo that is present in western action games combat like God of War, Star Wars Jedi, Batman Arkham Adventure, and now the newest Dragon Age.
I am pretty sure From, Team Ninja, and Platinum games are devoid of this effect. And judging by footage it may be in DMC5 but not DMC4? So it feels like something that is more common in western games. In my opinion I feel as though it's more important to western developers that the combat *looks* good rather than how it plays. I really just want to see things happen in normal speed.
Does anyone else feel extremely put off by cinematic slow mo happening during normal attacks and stuff? Or is anyone else neurotic enough to even notice?

nice production but I think it would be better as just instrumentals, I think the vocals are just unlistenable and neon white ost was the best thing they did.

The improvement seems pretty marginal... I fly to Asia every year, and either way I am stuck in a chair for 10 hours. I don't sleep on flights. I couldn't imagine paying thousands more for a slightly more comfortable chair to be stuck in. But I guess there are things only rich people can understand?

I thought this is something I would do if I was looking to get fired, but is it actually a real thing that is considered progressive? Would I get in trouble if I refused to call another human "it"?

I used a dog-chewed sixaxis for like 2 years.
I replaced it eventually but the analog stick on my controller still reminds me of my dog (RIP).

not really, use messenger or marketplace sometimes. but for Facebook main page I occasionally scroll through to see if my high school colleagues had any life events. it's funny how some names I don't recognize anymore, since they got married and changed it.

well that's reasonable, I probably won't get metaphor until I finish persona 4. however, I got the game 2 weeks ago and I've only managed to put in 10 hours. I am also playing on hard mode. so it may take a while.

that said, it's been weird since some games are more than others. big budget stuff sometimes cheaper, niche stuff like Metaphor as you said are more expensive. All Switch games are still 80, I think Wu Kong was 80, as were Elden Ring, recent Sony ports, Baldur's Gate.

I was somewhat in that range, 6'2" 145lbs. I was very sedentary and weak. Lifting weights will increase your appetite and help you put on weight and become stronger and look better too.

However, I was that skinny basically since puberty. If you lost a lot of weight suddenly, it could be worth looking into as a health concern.

At my shitty part time job in college, one of the worst parts was that they played inoffensive mass appeal pop music on the radio and I had to listen to it all day, which I hated.

And one day I went to a wedding and I was like wow I can't believe they are playing this radio shit at such a special day for these people. And it hit me, the majority of people actually listen to radio music willingly, and even enjoy it, and dance to it with a smile on their faces.

If you think of Kanto as "extra" it seems generous to include it but that would make Johto seem even weaker. The whole thing does not take very long to get through, and the majority of the time in Johto is spent battling severely underleveled trainers. And GSC's Kanto is only about half the size of Johto so we are not adding much.

Thematically, I actually love Johto and its story, and connection to Kanto and the previous games events. Obviously they have not done that since then so it stands out as something special. But the more I come back to the games, they are just not that fun compared to Gen 3 and 4.
