That's somewhat the point. Phone polling is notoriously one of the worst ways to poll for almost everything and is going to give you as far from the "average American" as is possible. While not as bad as in Truman's time they are still going to be primarily getting responses from older (ie. retirement age), uppper/middle-class white people far more than the population as a whole even now. Phone polling is useful for some things, but with the average person being explicitly wary of unknown numbers at this point the skew is terrible for who you get.

And your problem is also what I mentioned before when pointing out the prices of groceries in the statistic in that it doesn't really represent the issue at all. Averages are terrible for most things in politics because the average person doesn't exist: the small amount of extremely rich people drag everything up and destroy the validity of using averages. Hence why the median is never used as it highlights what the average person is going to actually be dealing with: it isn't susceptible to the high end of things completely breaking the equation. Poor people historically had specific things that were cheaply available that are now no longer cheap, which explicitly flies in the face of "everyone is just so much better off," in part because those things fall outside of the generic line of what people care about.

To clarify, I'm not saying things haven't increased for people, but for my groceries the increases I've seen are for items that I don't regularly buy.
The important price increases are for the "poor person" foods. Stuff like brisket and soup bones have gone from being something that you could quite literally walk up to the butcher and get for free/nearly free to being something that you had to actually spend real money on. Po boys were free sandwiches that were just handed out, etc.

The middle class literally having more people and thus there is just literally more people to factor into some statistics doesn't really tell the whole story at all.

This is hinting at what underpins Kimberly's complaint though: the idea that Biden's policy toward Gaza is an arbitrary fact unchanging through time, that protests don't work and have never worked, that people speaking out or attempting to find any sort of lever or power is inherently doomed to fail. Like yeah, as a matter of fact, you CAN go to protests, you can donate to relief foundations or activist organizations. You should if you think this is an important issue.

Yes, you should strategically vote for Biden, but insisting on having only that conversation before primary season is even over (ostensibly the time to push for policy changes for the incumbent president) sucks.
Yet we have no reason to believe that any such change could possibly happen in any meaningful sense. Nothing thus far has brought even an iota of change from his end while at the same time I find there to be no reason to believe that a change will happen regardless even if I did something: I voted for Biden the first time knowing that this sort of thing was going to happen as the whole ordeal isn't even something new (heck, there have even been recent articles about the woman having the cheese addiction issues related to this whole thing back in 2018: the current genocide isn't even slightly something new, it's just the biggest). I voted for him the first time because I didn't want Trump knowing that he wasn't a good person, and I'm going to vote for him again knowing he is absolutely not going to change. In democracy the vote is what you have as your "buying power" in getting a politician to change for normal people, but in this scenario either Biden wins and has no reason to change or he loses and we get Trump: any other thing is just an extension of that. Protests work because the politician believes that they might lose enough votes to matter, but that clearly isn't going to happen here. Trump's existence means that anybody who might be able to withhold their vote, just like I did with Hilary, don't have such a luxury.

In this case the opposite of memelord is short-sightedness.

It's really depressing that memelords share this around, or try to force stopping a genocide as some binary situation that Biden can't be persuaded on or pressured on in any way, shape, or form.

Every time people assist in muddying the waters with this shit, they're making it easier for Biden to avoid pressure and say shit like "Israel isn't committing genocide."

These are people, not props. Knock it off.
So what exactly can I, as a completely average person, do? Go do a walk/protest like the ones at the collage campuses? Say that I'm not going to vote for Biden?

Yes, and they cited the size for why it would be too expensive.

NoxObscuras posted...
I saw that they said it would be too expensive and time consuming because they built the game around the Wii U Gamepad. And that they'd have to make changes to the story to make it make sense with the other XC games.
No, they said it was because it was too big: https://www.gameinformer.com/2018/10/18/monolith-soft-says-a-xenoblade-chronicles-x-switch-port-would-be-too-expensive

The Wii U gamepad absolutely is not the culprit as while it would require retooling, that would not be a relevant distinction for cost over something like a port from the GameCube and the wild backed on its controller.

It's why the jokes are just almost exclusively horny in nature (the only one that isn't is just them spamming "but the MC is soooo worthless!~") while prior to this it was constantly acting as a parody of isekai.
