My city gets a lot of superhero stuff shot here because it has NYC style architecture, but it's dramatically cheaper to film here and they'll let you close off streets for weeks. So it's generally portrayed in a good light even if the city itself ain't so great.

Most things that are meant to actually take place here are just like a sweeping shot of the skyline and that's about it. Even then, it's usually portrayed pretty positively

Id think that there's much more of a culture/mindset difference between rural and urban citizens. If you look at voting maps in pretty much every state, you can spot the cities because they're blue. There's a pretty even number in population of rural and urban.

Right now, places like Austin have their votes swallowed up by rural Texas. A majority vote would fix issues like these.

As a broad shouldered dude, sometimes it legit is just an accident. It's easy to misjudge space and knock into something/someone. This is especially true if you've been drinking. Intentionally doing it though is just being an asshole. It's the equivalent of outright shoving someone but while trying to keep some sort of plausible deniability of not starting the fight.
