Now that the weekend dust has settled there is a decent sample of tournaments and the meta is starting to solidify. Of the old top meta, Pikachu and Zard/Moltres barely hanging in there over 50%, Mewtwo is trash now in the low 40s.

My Darkrai/Weezing deck is doing pretty well with the event.

It's a good deck in general, right now over 50% in the tournaments. Looks like the better placing ones use a single Spiritomb or Druddigon.

I've gotten shit Dark cards, so I'm struggling to build anything from previous sets. Dark hasn't received enough good stuff I think.

I used the rental Nido deck to do the 3 diamond challenges, ez pz. Weezing/Arbok or Scolipede should work nice too.

My Darkmag deck rips through this event lol, not even a contest. I'm in love with this deck, nothing more satisfying than Cyrus'ing up your opponent's 20 hp mon off the bench and then plopping an energy down on Darkrai ftw!

The Sonicare 4100, every youtube dentist says it's the best. C2 or G2 heads, it comes with a C2.

Indeed, negates Spiritomb and acts as a nice little Sabrina blocker in some cases too.

Besides the occasional brick I feel invincible with Darkrai/Mangezone. It's such a flexible deck that rarely lacks the answer I need. Spiky helmet for Druddigon double damage and cape to avoid one shots is so much fun!

Results from the real big weekend tourney is in, interesting stuff. It looks like Gyarados with Cyrus is pretty cracked. I've played a few rounds with Darkrai/Magnezone and it's pretty cracked too.

Some meta results from yesterday's biggest tourneys. TPC may have overcooked a bit with Darkrai, but I expect a counter with the next booster set. Palkia is definitive #2 and it's nice to see Dialga/Yanmega doing well. I'm like one ex away from making a bunch of these decks. I have all the cards for the Garchomp deck, I might give that a go in ranked.

Morons aren't exclusive to the USA and are ripe to be riled up controlled everywhere.

Until a second Darkrai comes my way, I've been having fun with Zard/Moltres with Dawn, Leaf, and Communication. I've found two communication is too much and replaced one with an x-speed, and I might drop one Dawn for a second Sabrina.

Thanks to Dawn and Communication, Zard seems pretty damn strong again.

According to limitlesstcg, so far all the Dialga and Infernape decks are sub 50%. Darkrai and Palkia reign supreme, with Gyarados still up there.

I dont know what level of superhuman. Definitely not superman level. But it was a world where only 2 people had superpowers and he was bulletproof and had superstrength and a healing factor.

He's probably stronger than many Superman versions, Samaritan can warp reality on a universal level.

Looking over the early meta, and it WILL shift some and stabilize over the next week, Darkrai and Palkia are the definitive early risers for new tier 1 decks, though Gyarados seems to still be hanging strong. Once more people fill out their mera cards and discover the power of Dawn, it'll be interesting to see which arctypes truly take the teir 1 spots. There are always early risers which end up falling off.

Dialga is fun but seems very risky. Most of the time you're going to be down 2 points to get everything powered up, but then you can clean house as shown below.

My first match I went first against a Starmie Misty roll deck, bricked, they got both Starmie up by their 2nd turn.

Second match I played a Moltres Zard Blaine hybrid deck, they whiffed on 3 Moltres rolls in a row and conceded lmao.

Last match was against a Celebi deck, they gave me the disconnect of shame haha! So salty.

Unless you want to take a chance if a certain card you see appears.

Still worth having if you're chasing normal ex cards or the full arts you like. But yeah I'd prioritize pack hourglasses first.

Playing around with a metal deck since I have 2 Dialga ex, just realized I only have one Malmetal which sucks. So if anyone is willing to trade me one, pm and we can figure something out.

I'm thinking I can get around with playing a 1-1 line for now and use Skarmory and Tauros and maybe another colorless as fillers. I like Regigigas, but that retreat cost is ridiculous. if you get stuck with it in the active turn 1 might as well concede.

PSA: don't forget to clear out the monthly hourglasses from the shop if you haven't already.

There should be a separate topic for trades. I enjoy the discussions and people posting pulls but pages of people going back and forth on trade details is not very engaging.

In fairness, there won't be a whole lot of it after people burn their initial resources.
