Not at all. I will in about 5 more years though. If its reasonable Id do it. I also have the ability to utilize VA health insurance as a veteran but I live in a sparsely populated area of the Midwest and dont feel like driving long distances just to see a Dr. But its always an option.

Health insurance. I have excellent health insurance free through my work. I turn 48 in about a month. If I could keep free health insurance Id retire in my mid 50s probably and be quite comfortable. But Im not going to retire and just pay health insurance out of pocket until later. Screw that. So its the insurance that will keep me working. Im not working for the pay.

Financially Im set. I make good money in a low cost of living area. My house is completely paid off, my vehicle is paid off and my only monthly bills are required monthly bills. I live pretty damn cheap. Im just stockpiling cash into investments month after month. Money isnt going to keep me working, insurance coverage will.

If something were to ever change and insurance was taken care of, Id retire much earlier. I have excellent retirement through my work. They contribute 200% of what I put in monthly. My retirement fund is quite nice at this stage.

Since Skies of Arcadia was already mentioned Ill say give me another game in the Lunar series. Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue Complete are awesome.

Never. I have a card that I put all my monthly purchases on to get the cash back but I pay it off every month. I treat it like cash. Im turning 48 soon and Ive never paid a penny in interest on a credit card in my entire life.

The only things I didnt buy outright and pay for that month were my house and my truck which are both fully paid off now but I did have loans on those.

Thats the first time Ive seen you post one of your drawings where it has color. Usually its just pencil in the early stages. Nicely done. Love the reflection in the knife. This is a much more complete drawing than Ive ever seen from you before.

Two chains that I see mentioned all the time Ive never eaten at. In N Out and Whataburger. I no longer eat out but even when I did they dont exist where I live in the Midwest and I never saw them when I lived in various places on the East Coast.

And when I was younger and travelled the West Coast I dont remember being aware of them or seeing them.

While I did enjoy The New Scooby-Doo Movies I still preferred the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! the most. I watched a lot of both series in my youth though. They played both all the time.

Im set financially. Im not concerned about that at all. Its insurance coverage that will keep me working into my 60s.

I can't speak for them but I use a lot of hot sauce. I have always enjoyed hot sauce and hot peppers and hot/spicy things but when I was in the military that is when I really got hooked on it. When we were on long deployments we would often run out of stuff like American ketchup and the stuff we bought in the Middle East was disgusting, it was like water with sugar in it so I started using hot sauce on my breakfast instead of ketchup.

I liked it so much that I found it a hard habit to break with my eggs and I just started adding it to more and more meals. Now I use it all the time for a wide variety of stuff. It's a top tier condiment.

That is the only post from you I have seen that isn't about Pitbulls. Amazing what 40 bucks will do.

I don't watch streamers and don't know who any of them are and when people talk about youtubers here I don't know who 99% of them are but I'll always have a soft spot for AVGN and watch it. He is a bit younger than me but a number of his earlier videos like his TMNT and Top Gun videos really hit home with me and my experiences when I was playing them as a kid.

So he still draws a few smiles from me even though it is basically just from nostalgia. Honestly most of the time I like his videos more when he drops the nerd persona and just gives background info about the game development and little facts and talks normally about the game. I feel like that is when he is at his best.

But again, I'll always give his videos a watch when they come up.

Never actually played the Goonies NES game but it is one of my favorite movies ever. Love it.

The majority of people at work can always sense subjects that are a good way to end up in HR.

I remember back on the PS3 board you couldn't go a day about someone praising Vanquish and Binary Domain. Those two games were always called underrated and hidden gems yet they were the most talked about on the board on a regular basis.

I already had multiple jobs for many years before I turned 16 and and could legally work at fast food. But when I turned 16 yes I did work at a fast food place for 2 years while still in high school. Quit before graduation and leaving for the military.

Where I live a ton of 16 and 17 year olds work fast food. It's a pretty normal thing to do here as a bs high school job.

I think deep down, there was an intriguing plot there, but the execution was pretty mediocre, as usual. Didn't really see it, but watched the EEW about it, to get the gist.

No, she was just a writer who was going to write a book about the experience and then 1 year later jump on another ship back to earth. I mean there is definitely the morality of it as you are essentially ending her life in a shitty way but it wasn't because she was important.

No but I'm an extreme introvert who doesn't need anyone. Like seriously. There is also the obvious morality of it.

Side note, despite people ignoring it I liked the movie.

It's statements like this that make me feel like a dinosaur on this site.

I think a lot depends on geography. I live in the Midwest in a pretty good cost of living area. I make pretty good money for this area. The only bills I have are required monthly bills like utilities, cable/internet/phone, and my city water/garbage bill. Add in food and gas and that is pretty much the only money I need to spend each month.

I live on about $1,100 a month out of pocket. Truthfully it is a little more because I have property taxes on my house and insurance but I pay that once a year rather than monthly. So in reality it cost me about $1,500 a month to live.

My house is completely paid off. My vehicle is completely paid off. There is opportunities to work overtime but these days at my age I just work my 40 hour week. I don't need any extra money. I put the majority of my check into savings/investing each month as it is. I'm pretty much just working for the insurance coverage not for money at this point.

We have hired a few people in their 20's in the last couple years who were able to buy a house, and easily support their family working their 40 hours a week here where I work and they make less money than I do. They have house payments and vehicle payments and they are still doing ok.

If there is a script and a contract with tens of millions of dollars on the line I'm sure Vin will get over whatever tiff there was. That dude will film anything for that franchise.

I was in the Navy when it came out. Stationed in Norfolk Virginia and living in a townhouse in Virginia Beach. A buddy and I were reminiscing about how awesome NHLPA 93 and NHL 94 hockey was on the Sega Genesis one night and we ended up going out to a Target that was open all night. This was new to me as where I'm from in the midwest back in the 90's things closed at like 2100.

So we went out to Target at like 0100 and I bought the playstation and a hockey game. This was in 1995.

Honestly that is how I feel on CE even though in general gamefaqs skews older these days. I'll see people talk about stuff in the early 2000's as their childhood and it was like I had already been out of school for long enough to serve 5 years in the military and travel the world multiple times. I was established at my job, buying a house and thoroughly into adulthood.

Self immolation protests have been a thing I remember going all the way back to my childhood in the early 80's and they existed before. I'm not going to pretend like they were common but they definitely happened quite a bit over the years.

I remember around 10 or 15 years ago there were quite a bit. Especially in Tibet.

Set roles. I find this gets me to use characters I sometimes wouldn't and for me it ends up being a better overall experience.
