You'll notice that the people that say things like this never have an answer for just how much study they want to see before they'll accept the conclusion. It's almost like there isn't actually such a threshold, and what they're actually saying is "I want you to keep studying this until you get results that match what I've already decided to believe," and are just hiding behind the pretense that they're being healthily skeptical so people don't call them out on their disingenuity.

I usually only have American cheese on a burger, and even then it is just in a "OK, fine, I'll eat this" as opposed to "I will utterly destroy you for daring to feed me such filth!" way like I would if you give me blue cheese. If I am making the burger myself, I will use something like Swiss, pepper jack, or cheddar.

Seems like the email being sent out went over like a wet fart. Most agencies, including mine, just said to not send the email. With no punishment associated with it.

Step 1: Get 3 million emails describing what people did last week
Step 2: Match those emails to their corresponding positions and the metrics that already exist for tracking activities/performance
Step 3: Use ML to identify correlations between what people said in their emails and what existing tracking/evaluations say
Step 4: Produce an AI model that can predict how much work people are getting done/how well they're doing based on what they say in weekly emails
Step 5: Sell this AI model to companies that want to have less middle management and/or don't want to come up with a system for evaluating performance that requires human oversight

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the responses to the email don't actually matter because there's no way Musk is actually reading and evaluating 3 million job descriptions. He's either going to Ctrl+F buzzwords that he uses to trigger automatic firings or he's already decided which departments he's going to gut or shut down and is just using this to pretend he's put any effort into understanding the work the public service does.

Considering a lot of the descriptions of the lands that the European explorers found - and the religion of most of those explorers - there's even an argument that it could have been called something like Eden (or a derivative of it, like Edenia). Or Paradiso (Paradisio, Paradisia, etc).

24 is probably objectively better because it communicates the time unambiguously without the need for an extra indicator, but having been immersed in a world where 12 is standard all my life, I always read 24-hour time by converting it to 12, which is an annoying extra step. 12 does also make more sense for analog clocks (fitting 24 separate numbers on a clock face gets a bit cramped, and if you go the route of putting 1-12 and then 13-24 as smaller numbers, you're essentially just using 12-hour time and making conversion easier), but that's becoming less common.

But also, I don't think that's an accident. He's being careless because he doesn't know enough to understand how to make cuts intelligently, but he's also not putting in effort to gain that understanding and avoid being careless because the goal is not to be left with a functioning public service. It's to gut enough of it to make room in the budget for the massive billionaire tax cuts Trump wants to enact, then leave the rest floundering so the private sector has an opportunity to step in and take over.

1. Project 2025, aka the Heritage Foundation, aka the final master plan hellscape of oligarchs running the country. The end-ressult of Reaganism, as you put it.
2. Trump who is just there to avoid being in prison and to enrich himself, serving as the perfect puppet to rubberstamp 2025 without a single thought or reason. When he's not doing that, he acts as an Agent of Chaos, like throwing out ideas like occupying Gaza.
3. Musk, who is there to remove oversight, suits, fines, and regulations of his companies to further enrich himself (no surprise every agency he's targeted has some hand in oversight of his companies).

The bath scene at the very beginning of the game establishes that in a very impressively subtle way: Everyone's just wandering around naked, with no segregation and nobody thinking twice about it. They don't reproduce sexually, so they have no need for romantic or sexual desires. Gotta love telling people they're about to get fanservice and dumping some worldbuilding on them instead.

Always thought xenoblade doing fine with its standalone game. It's kinda sad to see they wanted to become more like kingdom hearts where everything is connected bs pororin. Xc3 worlds just a mishmash of xc2 and 1 for good measure.

Everything I saw about the game pre-release made it seem like the most bland, generic RPG. Like it had no reason to exist other then "well, we want to make a game, so here."

As far as New Vegas, people also forget that when the game released, it sucked. It wasn't until it got patched several months later that people actually started praising it (which I don't think was even done by Obsidian). Outside of Platinum games, Obsidian has to be one of the most overrated studios in gaming.

I do really like that Nintendo's been trending in the other direction. Metroid Prime 4 and TotK being notable exceptions (the reactions to whose delays may be the motivating factor behind this strategy), most of their recent games have been announced within less than a year of the anticipated release date, which I'm a fan of.

You say that like inflation hasn't also fucked this country and many others, we should try to get to a point where the dollar is the strongest and stay there without inflation or deflation, and right now we are too inflated.
