Hell, when I was young I worked much longer hours for far less, at moderately back breaking factory jobs. I think most people, if they were presented this option at the age of 18 or so, would choose the second option. |

Glob 05/14/24 9:00:29 PM #5 | I lived in the city that I did my degrees in for years afterwards but I had no reason to visit either of the universities again. The campus I was primarily on for my undergraduate degree is now a school after the university sold it off. I now live on a different continent, though I do sometimes go back to see friends. Theyre not all uni friends though. |

Glob 05/14/24 8:55:14 PM #195 | UnsteadyOwl posted... That was an older study. A newer one (that the team behind the older study was involved in) shows that for most people happiness does continue to increase with income level. What that older study was finding was more that if a person is unhappy then the degree to which money can mitigate that unhappiness levels off at a certain point. That makes sense. Thanks for the info. |

Topic | Problems that rich people face, according to therapists |
Glob 05/14/24 7:30:48 PM #159 | UnsteadyOwl posted... I've seen a study before testing the old saying that money doesn't buy happiness which found that it sort of is and isn't true. There are unhappy rich people, but most people's level of happiness in life does go up as their income goes up. So it's probably better to say money doesn't guarantee happiness, but it does go a long way toward making you happier. The research that Ive come across in the past suggested that yes, people with higher levels of income are happier, but only up to a certain threshold and its lower than people expect it to be. Obviously these figures wont necessarily be correct today, but it as something like once you got over about 70k per year it stopped making any difference to happiness. |

Like you think someone that can't afford property here can just fly to a random country, get a job and documentation and just buy a house? Thats not what I said at all. Firstly, the job normally comes before the flight. Secondly, I never said anything about just buying a house. However, the right kind of move could make it a much more realistic prospect. |

Glob 05/13/24 10:55:25 PM #29 | ClayGuida posted... For one, cost, second who'd allow you to move in? Theres a lot to unpack there. Firstly, I never said anything about Europe. But yes, a number of European nations would welcome me with open arms. Is that true for everybody? No, but I never tried to claim it would be. The idea that you need lots of money to move to another country is just bogus. As with many things, it will help, of course. But I moved to another country not so long ago and that cost me a grand total of sweet fuck all. Unless a job is paying you to live there? Thats pretty much how all employment works, is it not? Yes, if you want to move to another country, the first step is probably to get a job if youre not super rich, but thats true of any sort of significant move. |

They can easily do another remake in the style of 2 - 4's remakes. But they only barely put Wesker in the end of 4, and considering his entire presence in 5 is based on the Chris - Wesker relationship, it makes sense to do a game with both Chris and Wesker. Are you suggesting that 5 isnt a game with both Chris and Wesker? |
