The first actual PvP event is coming up in a few weeks. You can get a head start on it by knowing what's coming.

It'll be 3v3v3 and the only thing that matters is that you get one of your horses to win first place. There will be 2 separate divisions and you can only pick one to join. One only allows you to bring B+ and lower-leveled umas and has a slightly worse prize pool, and the other has no restrictions and you can bring anyone. You might think that leads to the first group being easier, but not really, because even the whales will be min-maxing and getting the best B+ horse they can.

The race will be 2400m at Tokyo, a left turn, sunny weather Spring race on firm conditions, so you can start raising horses with those particular green skills. Dominator is another incredible skill for everyone on your team to have, which is why Agnes Tachyon and Grass Wonder are gonna both be pretty good. Make sure you stock up on stamina recovery skills: Swinging Maestro is still the GOAT, Gourmand and its other strategy equivalents are a close second. There will be stamina debuffs flying everywhere so be ready.

You can build your team one of two ways, really. You can either run, as an example, Evil Nature and Villain Creek, debuff the shit out of the other teams, and hope your best overall uma can beat them. Or you can pass around a Dominator skill to 1 or 2 good backline umas, and just run 3 Aces and hope one of them can win it.

Agnes, Nice Nature, and Super Creek are gonna be your best bets on debuffers.
Gold Ship, Grass Wonder, Air Groove, Special Week, Maruzensky, and Oguri Cap are the best Aces.

Agree with Leonhart on all counts.

I got 1 in the first 200 pulls, then kept going and on the third multi, got a double. I will not be doing 170 more for the last copy.

I won the hot springs tickets my very first time making it to the raffle and promptly lost my run pretty quick after. I have yet to get it again since, and I've been doing 4-6 runs per day.

You need 4 for the bonkers bonus to kick in. Specialty Priority is one of the most important stats for a support card to have, so you can get the other bonuses more often.

After posting that, I realize I should clarify. You can totally keep going, just don't expect more unless you go to full pity at 200 pulls. It has an added bonus of getting extra copies of useful SR cards, which are also nice to have when you're just starting out.

Because what else are you really gonna spend carats on for a while....

You need 4, actually. Don't bother continuing. There will be future events that give you limit breaking material. It'll take like a full year to get enough, but you can get this thing limit broken to where you need it later. Apparently KSB is still relevant for a good 3 years, so it'll still be a worthy investment.

For everything SM64 did to pioneer the 3D Platformer landscape, level design was not one of its strong suits. Like, half of levels had some truly horrendous flaws in at least 1 of its stars. So many random "you gotta guess the right order to touch these things" and "go stand in these random places throughout the level to find the secret" stars. Then for Tall, Tall Mountain, you have to play the exact same first half 6 times. And don't get me started on Rainbow Ride.

I am having the same experience with Agnes. I similarly just can't seem to get over the hump with El Condor Pasa. Every run I try with her is just tremendously cursed. Had one a few days ago where she got Night Owl 3 times, a Migraine, and Slacker once.

Feels super bad when you spend like 10 minutes scrounging for stuff just to die in 2 seconds by someone you never even see.

But it's fun when that doesn't happen.

In the top right of the Training menu, you'll see little profile circles that means your friends will train with you on those stats. They're randomly distributed, and in the very early game, you typically just want to follow as many of your friends, no matter what stat they're with you on. Because as their friendship bar goes up, they'll help you get better and better stat gains as the career goes on. If there's a ! next to one, it means there will be an extra bonus after the training, whether it be a skill hint or extra stats. If they're glowing, you get an extra stat boost. Also, one early Recreation use if there's a day when all the skills have less than 3 friends on it is great to get their mood up for extra stat gains.

After the Debut race, then you want to kind of stick with what you need. Guts is nigh useless, other than that, try and focus on Stamina and Speed. At a certain threshold, depending on what length of races your horse specializes in, you can quit focusing on Stamina and just pump Speed (and Power if it's a sprinter, or if it is a Late or End Closer). Wit is OK to run if it has a lot of friends on it as well, since it doesn't waste energy.

Then, just a few side notes: if your chance of failing a training is ever over 10%, you should definitely rest. Make sure you're taking skills that are actually useful. If you're a Pace Chaser and a skill says (End Closer) at the end of it, it is impossible for your horse to use. If you think you have a really good run going and your stats are higher than they'd usually be (you'll get a feel for this over time), you can start running side races to pump skill points.
