I haven't played a CD in I don't know how long. My last two car leases neither have had a CD player. I've still purchased CDs though so I can rip them for my Apple Music library. I like a lot of European artists who have incomplete libraries in the US, especially when it comes to B-sides so it was the only way to get them (even the seven seas sometimes fail for flac versions).

DVDs I also don't watch but I've ripped some of my old ones to get on my Plex server. It's stuff that never got a Blu-ray release or isn't/wasn't streaming like The Critic and old 80's cartoons like Captain N.

What I remember most was a save point failure at the end. As in, you have to climb a really high tower and then go into the world of darkness while fighting a gauntlet of bosses and there are no save points from starting the tower climb and onward. Considering the Final Boss could kill you easily if you haven't grinded HP to survive their strongest attack, this is really bad practice.

Best strategy was to complete the tower up to before the mirror, go all the way back down and save, then rush back to the topic to start the boss gauntlet in the world of darkness.

It's a pain in the ass even in the Pixel Remaster. I wouldn't want to punish myself with even attempting it on the NES version (unless I used Save States)

Comics today is mostly just pandering to nostalgia. They aren't introducing many new characters. Often times they do introduce a new character and then you never hear from them again.

They aren't introducing many new characters at Marvel and DC because the creators have realized they get proper fucked in terms of royalties when it comes to merchandising and especially movies because it's all work for hire. That's why a lot of the big writers and artists are also doing work for Image and other indies because they at least get to control what they create and profit from any potential additional media.

Definitely agree with this. I loved XM and had a subscription. Sirius dropped my two favorite channels with the merger. One was a Soundtrack channel that played scores and music from movies and the other was a British channel that played a lot of rock and pop songs.

Yeah, I got a free 3 month trial after getting some car work done, and then it transitioned to a $5/month plan for the following year. However, it's going to expire in July, and since I only listen to one station (Watercolors), I'm debating on whether or not to keep it since if I do, it's going up to $23/month.

They make it as inconvenient as possible to cancel too. You have to speak to a "care co-ordinator" because they hope people will just give up and accept the new rate. You can at least do it by chat now, before they used to make you call in. When you cancel and they ask just tell them you don't listen that much and you'd only resubscribe at the rate you're currently paying. They will try to give you lower rates that aren't as low as you're currently paying but if you just say no again, most of the time they will give you your current rate as a "one time courtesy". Every once in a while you'll get a rep who refuses to do that and that's when you cancel. A few weeks later you'll get something in the mail offering you the $5 a month that you were paying and you can just start again. It would be nice if they just cut the bullshit and give you the deal to begin with but I guess they get enough people who think the "lower rate" that isn't $23 a month is a good deal.

I do. I'm not sure if I'll renew though. The only reason I resubscribed last year was that it came with a free subscription to Stitcher Premium and I paid the exact price of 1 year of Stitcher so it was worth it to have both subscriptions. Then a week after I re-subscribed they announced that Stitcher was being shuttered. They also shuttered the Sirius channel, Volume, which was the one I listened to the most. Now I barely listen to Sirius at all although I did listen to the Howard interview the other day with Pearl Jam and that was excellent. I've got an Apple Music subscription so outside of Howard, I can get everything I want to listen to from that and without the insane repetition that Sirius Channels have because they stupidly run it like terrestrial radio.

Tim Allen neglected to mention that after what turned out to be the final season on ABC, he was due to get a nice pay increase. ABC didn't actually own the show (it was owned by Fox) and was only the distributor. The ratings on ABC were not good enough for a show they didn't own for the money it would have to shell out. So like a true Conservative grifter, Allen cried to the public that he was being canceled for his "political views" and the GOP base ate it up and the actual owner of the show, Fox, was able to make it work for a little bit longer based on the "outrage".

My vote is earned, not owed. And right now Biden is not earning it. And while I understand the alternative is Trump, I feel that things will end up the same as they have always been for the last 30+ years. Dems placate while Rs act mask off. End result is all the same, though.

That being said, the truth is I voted 3rd party in 2020, too. And in 2016. Gonna take an ordeal to convince me.

Perhaps you should read up on Project 2025 before being so convinced that "it will just be more of the same".
