You know how there are some movies that are in the "better than they have any right to be" category?

Well this movie is the inverse, should have been way better than it was. Laurence fishburne gives a great performance as the villain, and the animation is surprisingly good, but the live action portion is one of the most disgusting, putrid scenes ever put on screen. Like what were they even thinking. They actually had a neat idea here.

The gross-out factor was probably just spill-over from the gross-out comedy 90s.

My personal problem with the movie is that I found it boring and ugly. Outside of the gimmick of being inside Bill Murrays body, I feel like (I have very little memory of this movie) it plays out like the worlds most generic buddy-cop comedy except with super ugly, IMO, character designs.

Theyre probably not in my top 10 treats even at their best and they vary wildly depending where you get them. The most common issue is for the bread to not be fluffy enough.

Yeah. They dropped the ball on pretty much everything except the gummi ship.

• Combat is either broken triangle cutscenes or brainless X-mashing. No challenge to anything.
• Disney Worlds are boring outside the first 2. Also, theres no justification to visiting them (even the characters dont know why theyre there).
• New Org XIII is a big nothing. Mostly recycled and speed-run at the end (the originals were stretched out over 2 games). The game never treats them as a threat at all.
• The returns built up over multiple games are also treated like nothing. Oh, I guess Roxas is her, moving on. Oh Xion too? Moving on. Hey Terras back moving on.
• No character dynamics to speak of. You have characters talking about betraying Xehanort but it ends up being nothing. You have characters waxing poetic when you speed-run them at the end but its so brief it feels like an afterthought. The closest you get to a real bit of intrigue is Xigbar not being Xigbar but thats just a post-credits stinger and its to set up the story of the shitty gacha game nobody who values their time or money plays.
• No colosseum.
• No FF characters. This is relatively small, but some people got into the series originally because of the FF/Disney crossover aspect, so it seems worth mentioning. The lack of a Sephiroth boss-fight is especially egregious.

Note that I didnt buy the DLC, but it shouldnt take DLC to make your game worthwhile.
