Poliwhirl was remade into the pimple frog Machop was remade into varicose veins Golem was remade into Gigalith Zubat was remade into Wubat version soft-exclusive bugs, one cute and the other posion/cool fat pink blob that gives a bunch of exp tauros grew an afro I mean obviously not every Pokemon was meant to have a counterpart to gen 1, but a decent amount of them did. Hell, nuMachop and Gigalith were both trade evolutions too. Fair. I seem to remember several Gens having similar lines/evolutions to previous gens, tho. --- He's all alone through the day and night.

I always associated them with the infamous One Piece opening. I also loved all of the PokeRaps (I had memorized the original 150 as a kid), the Pikachu's Jukebox songs and the openings for the Orange Islands and Johto Different experiences, I suppose. I watched the Indigo League religiously as a kid. To this day I associate 4Kids with the Pokemon anime and then Yugioh!. They rarely miss, but the OG Pokmon music is bar none their best work, imo. --- He's all alone through the day and night.
