And the way to mitigate that is not by open hostility. I've seen plenty examples of critics being accused of being Trump supporters, commies, accelerationists or even nazis. It's a significant share of the voter base who has very valid moral issues on this topic, telling them to "stfu, accept that genocide is inevitable, and vote anyway" might not be the way to go.

What an insult to the many organizations, protests, and hard-fought court battles to pretend that simply voting for democrats is what progressed LGBT rights. Democrats took credit for it for political advantage, but their hands were forced, just like in the civil rights era.

Because you're arguing that voting for people who will not give you rights or do anything to secure your rights and will use the precariousness of your rights to secure future support is the correct thing to do. Rights weren't first won via voting, so I don't understand why voting for those who will not help you is the avenue to retain them.
