Usually I would think it's the younger generation doing cross-genre covers of songs from yesteryear (like a country cover of "Bye Bye Bye").

I think trashing on it in totality is a little short-sighted but there are definite problems with the current state of it (basically the detractors aren't acknowledging how cryptocurrency platforms are trying to evolve and address their issues and just calling the whole thing one of society's worst products).

I'd personally be happy with a world where I don't have to pay exchange fees (the whole concept seems terribly antiquated -- it made sense when you needed to physically exchange currency for another currency but when it's all digital and done by real-time formulas it just feels like fees for fees' sake) so more power to it for that reason, if nothing else.

I think it's partly driven by the unfairness of modern society, where merit and drive sometimes don't mean shit. So while you roost at the top and reflect on everyone who didn't get to your level it leaves questions about whether or not getting there was the work of the personal effort or the broken system. Thinking it was the latter can instill a sense of being part of the problem (the boot on the neck of the totally competent but less privileged individuals who aren't realizing their potential due to the circumstances they find themselves in circumstances that work against their ability to put their talents to use because of how society regards their status).

Surely this didn't need to be bumped that quick...

It's like "post-impostor syndrome". It's when the guy who thinks he doesn't deserve to rub shoulders with his peers actually gets to that level and questions why him and not someone who can be proud of their accomplishments.

Perish the thought, I don't think about your relationship status at all.

Is it stupid and anyone claiming to feel it needs to get over themselves or do you empathize and understand where it comes from?

Thing is I don't feel like there's anyone LEFT to complain to. SBAllen was probably pushed out with some demand to make a "I'm retiring of my own accord," when Fandom took over so now I don't know who is at the top to tell that the boards don't run as well as they used to.

Fandom has no interest in upkeeping the quality of life of using these boards and it's evident.

When is it time to just sit your ass down, cool it, and learn to just accept the world for what it is because you're past the point where you should be acting like an outspoken button-pusher?

The internet is running out of acceptable targets slowly but surely. Furries are acceptable targets now, but that might not be the case forever.

In my mind it BARELY makes sense as a fighting tactic. At best it can be seen as a really elaborate way of disguising which way you're about to strike but the fact they did it in tandem is what makes it look awkward.

I call that "punch proximity". People tailor the way they present and express themselves/their views with recognition of how much those things could result in a hothead getting punchy about it.

I don't know if this is just being silly but, actually, a female-oriented organized crime show does legitimately sound intriguing. "La cosa nostra" is generally a man's business but if they can viably find a way to flip that on its head I think the trope twisting would be worth watching, at least the start.

I meant that more "have the capacity to." I think without it you just let things that should rightfully instill feelings of disdain and repulsion roll off and you end up sitting on a lot of emotional weight when it comes to things that you should probably express.

I was toying with making another topic earlier in the week asking everyone about the perception of the word "hate" and if it's being thrown around too much for things that shouldn't really qualify as things to "hate" but I couldn't figure out a way to word it that fully satisfied my point.
