Glad they finally spoke. There was a lot of it going on around the Hogwarts Legacy release which was in Feb 2023 over a year ago causing some users to close their accounts. Maybe worse things happened if Fandom had to include the suicide hotline.

There are a lot of factors, Gamefreak likes to pander gen 1 as much as possible, the general population of people is going remember gen 1 for nostalgia when pokemon was at peak pop culture, people are more likely to connect to hey "I know who ( gen 1 pokemon ) is!", because they see them a lot in media.

That makes sense.

Yea. I don't watch every movie looking for double meanings. I saw it probably 15+ years ago at this point. I just thought it was a funny movie that ended with it probably being a dream or not real. I wasn't really thinking of it as a movie commenting on 80s society. I was more thinking about if the things in the plot actually happened or not.

Yea Duckbear has either 2 or 3 major Youtube channels. There was that I found. There was a Survivor one. And then there was a channel that had news videos. One video that had to have at least 500K views was along the lines of "Woman cries after getting life sentence". If that became the surviror channel that 2 hit channels. If it different Duckbear might have 3 different channels with thousands of subs.

Yea the way he titled stuff translated so well to survivor fanbase. His video about the Olympic swimmer Elizabeth Beisel defending the sexual abuser on survivor had 5 million views last I saw it last year.

Yea I knew about Duckbear becoming a popular Survivor recap/reaction channel. Didn't know pojr got huge too. Last I checked he had like 300 subs.

I was jumping between time lines. DS came after both Pokemon and Yugioh cards were popular. Pokemon was late 90s. Yugioh cards was in 2002. DS came out around 2004. With DS I was in High School. It was allowed during recess not in class. But students didn't take it out. What caused it was bullying. The seniors at my high school called people playing with Pokemon/Yugioh or DS babies and beat them up if they saw them with it.

Looking back those students should have gotten in trouble like suspended but teachers told the people getting bullied that the bullies were right they should put away your cards/DS. Around this time Pokemon/Yugioh cards kinda of decreased in popularity at my school and didn't come back. My memory is kinda off but I think 2004 might have also been the year Yugioh cards started getting banned too.
