like ok sure they didn't accept "constructive criticism" but that's because I suspect from their perspective, the things people are asking for are probably about the same level of nonsense as suggesting unbanning everyone.

I don't think that suggesting currently unwritten rules like "no politics outside CE" should be added to the user guidance in a clear manner is at the same level as "unban everyone", but you do you.

If you're actually interested in doing good data visualization, you should take an intro to stats class and a basic calc class.

Right now you are not displaying the data in ways that show what the trends are.

What does this mean. What are the axes of the histogram

X is time, Y is posts or topics depending on the graph.

A straight line means that there is no change in the average.

Posts/topics haven't increased, but they also haven't dropped off a cliff.

SHRIKE didn't like me pointing out reality since he wants everyone to think that there has been a dramatic fall in posting.

My statement stands. HBO didn't enter the original content game until 1997 with Oz. Having a handful of comedies over a 15 year span isn't disproving this, it's arguing semantics. HBO wasn't known for original content until Sopranos came out in 1999, that's when it stopped being TV, and started being HBO.

And Im really not trying to be combative, but

What do you honestly think this accomplished? Not all the protests, this specific one. Do you think this changes Seinfelds, anyone in the crowd, or any of the Duke decision makers minds at all?

And dont say it proves they have backbones. Theyre at graduation. The check cleared already. Whatever backbone you think they have has been bought.

This wasnt them booing and walking out on a politician, that may have some actual power to make a change, it was them walking out on a speech being made by some washed up comedian that hasnt really been relevant in 25 years.
