It's okay. My favorite was Quik banana flavored.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/a/a059111b.jpg

Vanilla is great, too. A couple weeks ago I tried some odd flavor of Nestles' bottled -- I can't even recall exactly what it was but it had caramel in it -- and that was pretty good.

Strawberry would be my least favorite, but still good.

Edit: Maybe it wasn't Nesquik. I know it had caramel in it but I can't find it online. Now this is going to bug me . . .

I-X and XII. So 11 of the ones you are including. All great games in their own ways. Yes, even II which gets ragged on.

That answers your basic question but I'll ramble on anyway because I'm waiting on someone who is late and this is a distraction.

I gave up on XIII (tried to get into it three seperate times) and XV because they are mediocre at best. And I'm being very kind to say only that about XV. I didn't even bother with XVI and I never will.

Tactics is fantastic. I really enjoyed World of Final Fantasy. Mystic Quest might be "childish" and "easy" but I love that game, too.

X-2 and Zero were just terrible. I did not like Remake at all, but I can see why others would love it. I just hated the combat and the entire game being in boring Midgar.

I have Rebirth, but I'm hesitant to play it. I have high hopes that I'll at least enjoy the exploration, but I'm afraid the combat will still make me hate it. I'll try it some day. Or not.

I think that covers all the FFs I've played. I'd probably love the worlds and gameplay of XI and XIV but I hate MMOs.

I've already stated that I'm done with this industry. I might buy Nintendo's follow-up to the Switch, but if there's any hint of them trying to push digital-only with it, then fuck them. And that's pretty likely to happen.

Right now, I feel like the PS5 was my last console purchase. And I'm fine with that. I'm more than ready to go 100% "retro" gaming.

Also, I'm willing to bet my PS5 collection will be my 3rd smallest library of games, with only smaller collections for Vectrex and Atari Jaguar. The main thing I'll end up using my PS5 for is as a faster loading PS4. I needed a back-up for my PS4 anyway since consoles never get super discounted at the end of their runs anymore.

No.

I hope it's just paranoia fueled by all the negativity in the world today, but my gut feeling is that this election will be the true "beginning of the end" for this country. (Although the seeds were sown in the 60s with Nixon.) And it doesn't matter who wins the election itself. I genuinely hope I'm wrong.

Why do people act like I said stylised games are bad? If they made a x men 97 stylised game, I would be a day 1 buyer. What I wonder is why devs seem to think the photorealist style do not fit a genre
Because you brought up the word photorealistic. Perhaps you should study what that word means in the art world. It's not a good thing.

Edit: Here I'll even help:

https://tinyurl.com/53knhekz

"Photorealism rejected the painterly qualities by which individual artists could be recognised, and instead strove to create pictures that looked photographic. Visual complexity, heightened clarity and a desire to be emotionally neutral led to banal subject matter that likened the movement to pop art.

The early 1990s saw a renewed interest in photorealism, thanks to new technology in the form of cameras and digital equipment which offered more precision."

Yes Northeast Iowa. It was only a thing though in early Elementary, like around Kindergarten to 4th grade. I remember it in 4th grade and know we didn't do it in 5th grade onward. I changed schools in 5th grade and neither school did the pledge. So it was only through 4th grade. Never did it after that.
Thanks for the answer. That matches my experience.

Early Elementary in the early 80's. Said it before school started for the day. I was very young and didn't put much thought into it. It was just something we did at the start of the day. Didn't impact me one way or the other.
You're from Iowa, right? My family moved to Iowa (West Liberty) in '78 before I started 6th grade (at a middle school) and I'm positive that we never said the pledge. But maybe my memory is faulty.

I did have to recite it in elementary school while living in Arizona. Maybe it was just an elementary school thing back then? Or even now? Hell, I don't know.

Anyway . . . the last time I clearly remember saying it was in early '77 when I was in 4th grade in Arizona. I can't recall if we said it or not in 5th grade when I was living in New Mexico. That was such a horrible year. And again, I honestly don't think we did when I was in Iowa from 6th grade onward.

I also can't think of any time outside of school I ever did, but maybe I have? I'm not sure why this topic has me scratching my head so much, but it is making me question my memory.
