If it's a death battle, then the game is a Shadow Duel. If Ash doesn't have a deck, then no duel is taking place.

Anything can be a shadow game. It doesn't have to be a Duel Monsters game. Even improvised games work.

The existing audio books didn't really have a cast, they had a reader. This is technically providing a different experience by having a full cast for every character.

I think they still might have at the suggestion of Bandai. Super Sentai toy sales faced a sharp decline once they could no longer include Power Rangers toy sales under the Super Sentai banner.

Worth noting, the rumors of Toei wanting to rebrand Super Sentai has been going for a couple years now. They were even looking at doing it this year for Gozyuger before changing their mind. This just seems to confirmation that they're finally going ahead with it after wrapping up 50 years with a nice anniversary tribute. With the recent push of Kamen Rider to international markets (with Zeztz's producer confirming Toei would like this to be the new standard for that show), the idea the rebrand is part of a loophole to get around Hasbro's Power Rangers contract makes a lot of sense. Toei wants their tokusatsu brands to see the worldwide success Tsubaraya has seen with Ultraman, which means Hasbro needs to be cut out.

Exactly, it had slowdown instead of stutters, because it aimed to maintain frames.

They never stopped the live stream this week, it's still going. I guess legally there's no harm with them doing VODs now anyway, just interesting how they're handling things now that they are doing them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Digimon had the larger budget, honestly. It certainly looks like it did and it was in development a lot longer to boot. Pokmon is underfunded relative to how much money the IP makes.

I'm not even finished and I can already say with confidence that it's the best Digimon Story game yet and fourth best Digimon game in general. It's a really solid turn-based monster collecting RPG. Not ground breaking by any means, but a fantastic entry in the genre nonetheless. Good if you like games like Shin Megami Tensei or Pokemon, more so the former.

Nope. Aside from Hacker's Memory, every Digimon Story game is standalone and Time Stranger is no exception.

Hate that the episode started streaming like more than 10 minutes early. Hopped onto Twitch to watch without ads like I usually do and then had to switch over to YouTube because the show was already on the opening despite me being eight minutes early. -_-

It's a $37 billion industry in the US. Good on Canada, but it will have almost no real impact on the liquor manufacturers. Losing 0.1% in sales but getting massive tax breaks from Trump, these people are unfortunately going to look at it as a net win.

Liquor manufacturers aren't a single massive conglomerate. Several manufacturers in states like Kentucky see a majority of sales from Canada and will go bankrupt because of this. Some states are even trying to sue Canada for not buying their liquor if I recall correctly.

The remaining 15% is Alberta.

It feels like Nox might actually want ZEZTZ to unlock his forms due to whatever's in that book. Getting very Wizard vibes from it there.

Nah, there are spinoffs (Acid and Rising come to mind), but Solid isn't one of them. Solid is literally Metal Gear 3. It just had a gimmick title and they decided to roll with it for the sequels. There's no conceptual difference at all. In fact, Solid is a borderline 2 remake, just with some Policenauts thrown in.

Solid is mainline, but that doesn't make the 2D games Solid titles. Because they literally aren't titled Solid. This isn't hard to grasp. When someone calls Metal Gear Solid 2 the second Metal Gear Solid, do you go "actually it's the fourth"?

You seem pretty sure about that, considering in an earlier post you didnt count the first two Metal Gear games. Now you might say they dont count because they dont say Solid, but one could counter that PW doesnt count since its not in the numbered series.

First two Metal Gear are mainline Metal Gear. They are not mainline Metal Gear Solid because they don't have Solid in the title. I mean MG2 does, but that's different. Think of it like this: Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X4 are both mainline Mega Man games, but only X4 is a mainline Mega Man X game.

It's actually really easy. Was it directed by Kojima? If yes, mainline. If no, side game.

By technicality Metal Gear Solid: Revengenance. It came out in 2013, MGS5 came out in 2018. If we aren't counting that, then MGS: Ground Zeroes instead of 5 (because I can't stand Phantom Pain).

It's Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, not Solid. And MGSV came out in 2015, not 2018. And the fifth mainline MGS title is Peace Walker.
