I have an okay set for Skirk, just farming mora and exp books until I feel comfortable spending more resin on artifact rng. At least my Varesa got stacked on-set pieces in the process of farming for both sets, lol.

I got full-platinum on the combat event (averaged 1300 across all but the final one), but the last one is pretty garbo (got barely over 900 for the platinum), since to get max buff, you need a full 4-person team of Natlan characters in the first cycle (at least they don't need to be combat viable, just survive to proc Nightsoul Bursts), then you still need someone who can get on top of the phlogiston pillars of the boss in cycle 2.

I did learn midway through the fight that Kazuha can jump up it on his own, so I could theoretically do better, but I don't care as much to do it again.

Yeah, I kinda wish there was a way to toggle Nightsoul Transmission activating in battles.

Assuming it is the titan, it will be 30, not 31. By guaranteed 30, it's not 30 or better, just 30. The calculation you used says that 31 could be an option for those stats with those numbers given, but if you use the IV checker in the game, it will be listed as "Fantastic" across the board, which means it is 30, not 31 (which would say its stat is "Best").

I'm pretty sure the titans you can catch are all guaranteed 30's across all six stats. Everything about them is preset.

In my opinion, HSR is just such a text and lore heavy game, it takes me a week or two just to get through any new story content, much less new event/FOMO content. As a turn-based combat game that can pretty easily just be auto-battled through the majority of content, there's also much less action to keep the attention going.

I'm still playing all three myself for now, but am also considering dropping HSR once my daily jades pass expires. ZZZ itself is more of a hybrid of the two games' styles, featuring more linear or instance-based exploration, but a fast-paced action combat that is way more fluid and enjoyable (imo) than Genshin's, and a goofy stylized over the top story that doesn't always take itself serious, which makes me way more interested in continuing to play it over HSR, tbh.

Isn't Genshin's wish details like, extremely verbose in detailing the odds of what you pull, and have notices about the spending of real money for adults or with parents' permission? Seems more like an issue with parents not making sure their kids can't spend their money on stupid shit.

Yeah, the Attrition effect its attacks cause deals damage that can straight up ignore shields. Like with the other abyss monsters from the region I can never remember how to say their names, dealing lots of fast elemental attacks will break its wards (especially so if the attacks come from a Natlan character / with Nightsoul alignment). Burning works really well for this, btw.

Other than that, it's mostly just another dps fest. Shields work against the normal damage it can deal, but you'll still want a good healer for Attrition damage otherwise.

Mondstadt domains' effects got changed, they're just purely positive damage buffs now, and I think the enemy spawns were nerfed too. Some other domains got changed as well, all of this was from like a few patches ago.

Getting the event Kirara, besides dialogue and story (which is like maybe two hours at most), is maybe like 30 minutes of gameplay to unlock now. Not really that long. Do some quick event challenge content, get coins, make figures, and then claim Kirara. We still got like 5 weeks to do it, so even a few minutes here and there pecking at the story should be enough to get you there for the free Kirara con easily. For the outfit, you actually need to explore the area somewhat for oculus-like objects and chests, which will take much more time, and more gameplay mechanics only added to this event area to complete, so if time sensitivity is your issue, that will be more challenging.

Besides those, it's just a brief little area to explore for some quick freemogems and a mild lore drop at the end. Not much else to look out for really. If you don't want the outfit for free, or the free Kirara con / starglitter, then you can by all means ignore it if you don't have the time to spare for them.

SR is turn-based, meaning repetition becomes a much bigger problem, unlike action games. That's why.

A new feature coming, letting you craft an artifact of the set, mainstat, substat and substat2 you want.
It's a fairly recent leak, so wait and see, but it's implied you destroy artifacts for the resources that enable this.

They massively gimped all Mondstadt / Liyue domain difficulty, too.
They greatly increased various fodder enemy droprates (like samurai and spectres).
And possibly increased leyline rewards, enemy droprates (on top of what I wrote earlier).

1 - That's nice and all, great even, if so, but it's looking like too little too late at this stage. And why would it still be rng? We'll just be seeing more 21/20's, 22/20's, or now 23/20's going forward...

Also, I realize I misremembered earlier (and can no longer edit, thanks GameFAQs), it's 46 boss materials, not 68. I must've mixed it up with the 168 regional specialties you need for max ascension. Oops. That puts it at 16-23 bosses, at 40 resin each, being 640 resin to 920 resin being max needed. With the 3-4 drops change, that could reduce it to 12-16, with a new minimum of 480 resin, which is much better than initially thought. At that point, the main differences are with resin regen rates... and rng.

2 - I'd be surprised if there were any people still that don't just set to Auto and tune things out while doing something else for the grinds. One step away from just bypassing the battle entirely, but I can understand if it's like that so "just barely getting by" isn't enough to justify the skip. I know Pokemon Mastersex has stuff to skip battles you completed with no losses, maybe they can implement that in the future (not just Star Rail, mind you; any of their games).

3 - I'll believe it when I see it actually happen. I will never put my faith in a leak, no matter how credible it is. Every leak with the Dead Sea's concentration on a moon sized grain of salt, until it is actually, factually, in the game. Because they have no obligation to keep things the way they are before then, but they are liable to lawsuits if they try to change it after the fact. See: Neuvillette's change and IMMEDIATE rollback with massive (for Genshin) amount of apologems.

4 - I already mentioned the changes to the domains of Mondstadt and Liyue. Mob droprates, sure, cool, good on them for the buff if you haven't already finished those grinds already by now. But they're mostly whatever when my main point of the post is resin-locked drops, i.e. bosses and domains, which is what actually will time-gate you, since you can always just farm mob drops in other players' worlds.

I love Genshin to death, don't get me wrong; I've gotten 100% in everything and finished pretty much all available content as it comes out, even have almost all the characters now. I just know it can do better, and Hoyo's other games prove it. It just feels like they're taking their sweet time to implement any meaningful changes because they're basically like, "It still prints money, why bother changing anything? No matter how much they complain, they still give us their money hand over fist, lol."

Basically, more people need to be using the feedback and suggestions forms to try and get the point across to them. They are obligated to read and respond to each of them. Not like you can really expect random people to just not spend on the game until the changes they want are implemented.

Okay, rant over. I feel a great weight has been lifted after getting that off my chest now. I'm just gonna go back to mostly-lurking for now...

This is why Genshin needs to implement the material synthesis feature Star Rail has (which allows you to convert boss materials to other boss materials at a 2:1 ratio, and you can use different materials together during conversion too). At least that way, if shit like that happens, you can still use it for later. Or, even better: just make 3 the standard, guaranteed drop once you hit WL8. Star Rail and ZZZ don't have variance in their boss material drops as far as I can tell.

At max Equilibrium in Star Rail, you only have to fight the bosses like 13 times, for 5 materials each fight, for all 65 ascension material drops for a 5-star character (4-stars actually need fewer, unlike Genshin), and it only costs 30 trailblaze power per fight (Star Rail's resin system). Which means you only need 390 Trailblaze Power to get all of it, guaranteed at that.

Genshin, you need 68 materials for max ascension (for all characters, 4-star and 5-star), and get 2-3 per fight at 40 resin each fight at max World Level. That means needing anywhere between 23 and 34 battles, at a total resin cost count between 920 and 1360. This isn't even touching on the fact that Genshin's resin regenerates slower than Star Rail's Trailblaze Power at a 3:4 resin-to-trailblaze ratio.

I really hope with the Natlan release, things start improving on this front, because it's getting increasingly worse the longer things go on. We're not even going to get into the fact Genshin still hasn't implemented any sort of feature like the artifact synthesis that Star Rail's relics and ZZZ's drive discs have that let you make the specific pieces you need and (with a rare material) even control what main stat the piece gets.

The newest feature with long-term encounter points basically eradicates the need to ever do daily commissions for a long time, but we've not really had any new QoL upgrades for the actual grind of building teams and stuff. This isn't factoring that they just changed the Mondstadt and Liyue domains to be all purely positive ley line disorders, instead of the negative ley line disorders they had like cooldown increases and stamina/energy reduction. It is weird that they never did this sooner when literally all the other domains in the game have not been a purely negative effect on your combat capabilities, though.

Like, imagine how hype it was when repeating a domain now puts you near the activation device instead of having to walk there an extra 5 seconds each time. Those are the kind of scraps we're having to fight over still. It's depressing...

Sorry, long rant, got sidetracked. Just the more I play these three games, the more I see how they could be taking these newer features from their new games to improve the experience for Genshin players, and yet they just... don't. I don't have any knowledge of Honkai Impact 3rd, so I can't make any references about the quality of life that game has.

Did my initial playthrough on remake, after 10 years of not playing the gamecube version, as a successfully completed Pre-Hooktail Pit of 100 Trials run, and now I'm gonna plow through the game 20 levels higher than I should be for fun, lmao.

Ironically, the Primo Geovishap for me, but it was close (like 87 seconds). Pyro Regisvine is just too nutso, like 3 minutes at best for me to beat with no negotiations, and Jadeplume Terrorshroom I got kinda close with, like 1m 47s, but not quite close enough. Could probably clear it if I put more effort into learning meta rotations, but I just can't be arsed at this point, lol.

I feel like there's no reason to farm the new artifacts for Arlecchino when there's perfectly viable Shimenawa's Reminiscence you can get while simultaneously farming Emblem of Severed Fate pieces for other characters you might also want to use as well, or Gladiator set you could potentially have a million pieces of that aren't much worse off. Who the hell is this Burning artifact set even for at this point?

never heard of the double shock move before now. huge damage, then you give up your electric type, losing stab, but also ditching weakness to ground, very interesting. then you can tera and use it with stab again. delightfully devilish

More than that, Terastalizing prevents you from losing the applied Tera Type as well, so you can actually spam Double Shock while terastalized.
