Three gift codes to use in Wuthering Waves. I hear there are some server launch glitches but I think that's to be expected.

WUTHERINGWAVESGIFT
WUTHERINGGIFT
WUTHERING2024

The official web page for the game has the link for the PC client.

https://wutheringwaves.kurogames.com/en/

Edit: It looks like only the middle gift code works. Hopefully, Kuro will fix the other two.

People have been asking if Snowbreak's English dub will come back now that the game is performing better in revenue. We finally got an official answer, relayed here.

Thank goodness for JP voice actors. They don't give a crap about the "direction" because it all pays the same. lmao

Anyone wuthering the waves???

Right, that game comes out tomorrow. I'll at least give it a try but I don't think I'll play it much.

I quit Snowbreak back when Eatchel came out. In fact the very last thing I did before closing my account was pull for her. I dont like the direction theyre taking the game anymore.

You'll either love that Snowbreak is becoming Coomerbreak or you'll be put off by it. I don't really care one way or the other. At least the game is performing better in revenue, so I guess the devs are doing something right by leaning more into fanservice and the harem fantasy. That's not going to be everyone's cup of tea though.

Mobs take 3-4 headshots, and there are too many of them with them bobbing their head. In a vacuum, they're usually not problematic difficulty wise. But their biggest issue is that they're really annoying and time consuming, and they take center stage in story and various event modes.

I take it you're more used to shooters where "headshot = instant death"? That would make sense. To me, it's just a different rule attached to headshots with "headshot = guaranteed critical hit (unless you're using Katya)". At least the rules are consistently applied instead of those games where, "Well, it depends on what enemy you're talking about, what stage, your character, what weapon, what day of the month it is, and how sadistic the programmer felt when coding this all up." I don't like inconsistent rules in my games.

If stages took over 5 minutes for me to finish, I would agree with you that it's time consuming for what are supposed to be tiny, bite-sized stages on the go but I guess I'm one of those weirdos who likes somewhat spongy enemies. I can see where cutting that in half (or more) would respect some people's time better.

The ones I use the most right now are Katya: Blue Bolt and Cherno: Enigma for attacking, Eatchel: The Cub as my main healer and Yao: Quiet Quitter as my secondary healer, and Tess: the Magician for buffs or someone as a sub-DPS.

Katya can't crit but, as I already mentioned, she has unlimited ammo. She can switch between her higher damaging crossbow bolts or wide area explosive bolts for crowd control at the cost of some damage per shot. Either is pretty strong. Her main skill makes her function like a turret and shoot faster but she can't move while in that stance (can dodge out of it though). Her dodge is also a teleport. As long as you can hit a target, she'll drain that enemy's HP really quickly with her turret skill. The skill has a shot limit but you can recharge it by shooting things outside of that mode. Sure, not being able to crit kinda sucks but who cares about that when you never need to reload! (The reload button switches her ammo between regular bolts and the explosive ones)

Cherno: Enigma is new with this current event is one I'm having a ton of fun with. You can plant a large sphere over the enemy with her regular skill (up to three on the field at once) that sticks around for a long time and passively damages enemies near them. You can abuse this for set-it-and-forget-it tactics to kill mobs passively.

You'll also notice a purple gauge over enemies--fill that up by shooting them until it's full and then hold the skill button while they're next to your spheres to detonate them for massive damage. It's extremely effective on both mobs and bosses. Her ult sets all three spheres on the enemy at once while switching with Meursault for a bit and causing some damage. You then get to play as Meursault for a while before switching back to Cherno (although it's just a hair color inversion).

Eatchel can heal you passively just by being on the team. No need to switch, use a skill, or stay near a drone to stay topped up. Her damage is okay and I like her regular skill's ability to group enemies but I use her mainly to not have to worry about my health in stages where I expect to take a lot of damage.

Those are just some examples of what the newer units can do.

The launch characters of Snowbreak have fallen off for the most part in the meta. Only two of them are still relevant now (Yao: Winter Solstice and Fenny: Coronet) but I suspect their days are numbered. We've gotten too many good units since and each new one is strong in some aspect.

Launch 5* characters -
Lyfe: Wild Hunt (freeze support; not much DPS due to being a SMG user but kind of a sub-DPS character too; niche uses)
Fenny: Coronet (strong anti-mob and boss part destroyer DPS but getting outshined; good skill uptime with M1)
Yao: Winter Solstice (anti-boss unit; can tear off large chunks of boss HP under the right setup but needs M1 or M2)
Fritia: Hush (a DPS unit who's just meh; only good for her ultimate and even then, it's not that good)
Marian: Swift (physical sniper DPS with an evasive skill; easily forgettable/niche uses)

Banner characters (in the order I remember they came out in) -
Acacia: Kaguya (support character but niche uses)
Chenxing: Ethereal Cloud (DPS unit for mobs and bosses with multiple target points)
Mauxir: Shadow Ka (support unit used for her "make the boss easy to shoot" support skill; niche uses)
Haru: Absconditus (fantastic anti-mob DPS unit with her sword waves; struggles on bosses)
Tess: The Magician (pure support character for elements but guys who like big boobs will love her)
Katya: Blue Bolt (Bend over and show that ass! Great all-around DPS with infinite ammo and crowd control but can't crit)
Eatchel: The Cub (healing support and that's about all she's good at...maybe some sub-DPS action but only on mobs)
Cherno: Enigma (crazy good unit against mobs and bosses; don't let that SMG fool you! her main skill is great -- radiation bombs for days)
Enya: Exuvia (support character that was recently given out for free; I haven't used her much so I can't comment yet)

Unlike other amplifiers, No.21's new frame shards will not appear in the battle pass shop. She's now the dark team's amplifier.

Correction: No.21's new frame is a lightning amplifier, not a dark one.

I play...
Girls' Frontline
Arknights
Punishing: Gray Raven
Snowbreak: Containment Zone

Speaking of Punishing: Gray Raven, there's a new event starting soon. I will post the same trailer for it twice, one with the Japanese dub and one with the English dub.

Recently my mind isn't on gacha much due to malding in Reverse Collapse, which is not a gacha game lol.
Yeah but it's closely related to one. Close enough where talking about it here shouldn't be a problem, I think.
