I think things haved... chilled enough to be back more publicly again sooooo welcome back Dillos, happy to start with a purged thread. Probably not the most active anymore but hey who cares about purges when I got logfaqs up 'n running.

To start things up I never did get around to posting my sakura pics... unfortunately I didn't realize forgot my SD card when went to Tamagawa/Meguro which were reaaaaaaally nice so to at least snap pics I just went along the river right next to my place which I've grown to love as my personal relax zone of Japan (for the LINE gang, that's what my banner pic is from too!)



Did however get a potato quality pic of super pink ones around Shin Okubo... but since only potato phone around I wasn't concerned with pics so



Sadly my Golden Week ended tamer than I'd hope since some family stuff came up not just stuff about my parents but also my brother going though things so I've been chilling with him a lot.

Fire Emblem Heroes has been replaced as my night-time phone game......... to Dissidia Omnia. Because holy shit LAYLE are you SERIOUS HOLY SHIT NOT IN MY WILDEST DREAMS WOULD I EVER IMAGINE REPRESENTATION. And I looooove that his plot is all entwined with the FF6 crew, even knowing Edgar who isn't even in this game yet. Nintendo FFs stickin' together awwyeah. Blew tons of my gems getting 3 of his weapon so I can have a super ultimate Layle... eventually... whenever I have enough upgrade materials to actually get that far lmao. Current team is Layle/Shadow/Ramza... but having two characters that use yellow crystals... whyyyyyyy............... but I'm not too much of a fan of other charas so YELLOW YOLO... my backups are Penelo and Y'shtola. Today update adds Ace who's my Dissidia arcade main... don't have yet but started and lmao "why is Bartz apart of this que-..." -> "KWEEEEEH" -> "OF COURSE"



STILL SCREAMING THAT THIS IS REAL LIFE.

Well I never really knew much about this stuff till I've been doing my own personal projects on my server and just looking up things I can do. As long as your field isn't specifically web design or networking that's not too crazy!

Plus things like AWS and cloudflare are rather specific, I started using the Amazon Web Service a while back when trying to create my own proxy but I realized. Cloudflare... I questioned what it does when I'd see a hosting error page when nyaa was down so I looked it up and found out it gives free SSL certs so I was all HELL YEAH I DON'T NEED TO PUT UP WITH THOSE ANNOYING UNSECURE CONNECTION WARNINGS.

I'm really not concerned with getting in trouble with GameFAQs anymore so no worries, they wouldn't cause much stress on the servers anyways. I don't really mind if people share or not.

Money wars isn't so much about the money itself as just a long feud over who gets to "take credit" for me. Since it's tax time again, problems surface yet again.

I temporarily rebuilt an AWS solution while I figured out how to go through my site / cloudflare again. I just manually installed an upgraded version of Python (trickier than it needs to be since I don't have root access of my own server) that could actually support SSL features to cut through my own security that cloudflare provides. So now everything's back running from my server as normal, in fact even compacted things by turning the separate scripts into functions rather than my initial version, since I had to replace my mysql.connector implementations with MySQLdb versions (the python3 compatible version) anyways. My archive scripts have been pretty much unchanged all month, although a week or so ago is when I put my DNS through cloudflare for SSL certification, since without that login systems have really annoying warnings all the time for not using HTTPS.

Yeap no problem, and passwords all get encrypted before being communicated to my end just like any other modern web account system so nothing to worry about.

I don't really expect anyone to post so it's a rather bare forum, but it's there in case any visitor wants to reach me basically

and thanks for the kind words! I'm not doing so bad these days but urgh parental money wars is just so frustrating after so many years.



Right now the site archive feature is currently broken again (https://logfaqs.com/misc/scan.php) buuut it seems to be more about cloudflare interrupting my url requests rather than a gamefaqs block this time. Right now figuring out if I can get around it without too much trouble, or I might just go back to archiving via AWS.

Just did a raid of Hyrule Castle to pick up the Hylian Shield.

Is there only one in the whole castle?

The Hylian Shield lasts for an extremely long time, and if it breaks, you can buy it from a merchant if you complete a certain sidequest.
