That should not be $175, and should not have taken over two hours. I have things way bigger and even though it's only B&W it cost 150 before tip.

It looks cool and well done, but why did you use up your entire wrist for just that? Asking for explanation, not a criticism.

Not all tattoo artists charge the same. You get what you pay for. Could've had it done somewhere else cheaper probably, but I've been getting tattooed by this same guy for years and I trust him. I know he does quality work. I'll pay a premium for that peace of mind alone.

Color typically costs more than B&G, though my dude charges by the hour normally so that wouldn't matter.

Also, it's on my calf, not my arm.

I once had a room comped because the maid service hadn't been through. There wasn't shit in the toilet or anything, but it had clearly not been cleaned. Bed wasn't done. Towels on the floor in the bathroom. Stuff like that.

A fucking log in the toilet should be a comp, no doubt.

Is she wearing a skirt when this happens, or is she bleeding through some pants?

She's pretty heavy, so she tends to wear sweatpants or stretch pants that usually aren't made of a very thick material.

I think if I just put some kind of cover over the couch that might help. Plastic is out of the question because it would be too obvious. But maybe a sheet or something that can be passed off as decorative.

We do need a new couch. One armrest is broken.

She's aware of it when it happens, and she expresses embarrassment, which makes it all the more confounding as to why she doesn't take more precaution in preventing it.

As far as myself or my wife talking to her about it, I'll just reiterate that she knows this is happening. I won't take her to task over it out of respect for my wife, and my wife won't take her to task over it out of fear of retribution (mother-in-law is known to harbor hard grudges for years on end).

A little backstory: MIL is very inappropriate towards men involved with her relatives, including myself, her brother-in-law, her other daughters' boyfriends, etc. Inappropriate as in overtly flirtatious, bordering sexual assault. I've been groped, had her rub her titties in my face, she nibbled my ear once when giving me a hug. Doesn't hide this at all, mind you. She'll do this right in front of my wife. I've spoken to my wife about how uncomfortable it makes me, but my wife will never talk to her mom about it, for the aforementioned reason. Her mom is just a little wild and weird, and my wife would rather try and put up with it than risk her punishing us by refusing to visit or even talk to us for years on end over any perceived slight.

I appreciate some of the suggestions (and the jokes, I laughed at a lot of the posts in this thread), but I was just blowing off some steam. Just have to chalk it up to crazy in-law behavior, and wash the cushion covers yet again.

I disagree. I take my kids to several different playgrounds. Some are better than others, but some of them are downright impressive in the equipment they offer, and they have the added benefit of being designed with children's safety in mind.

Examples of cool shit they have now?

Splash pads, giant slides, giant net/spiderweb/rope dome things that they can climb all over. One of them I take them to is designed like a big castle with bridges and towers, one is designed like a giant tree house and has tunnels under it. One has a jungle gym shaped like a fire truck that's real popular. The sandbox there has little scooper things that kids can sit on and they behave similar to an excavator or backhoe.

Sigh, you all were right about craigslist lol.

Good thing I didn't answer a bunch more after meeting Shannon, cause yeah....gonna go with a different dating service and hopefully meet .....less insane ladies lol.

First and second date was ok with her, but luckily I kept it at arms length and restricted things to hugs.

She started calling me/texting me at 6:30 am in themorning the next day (after the 2 date day when we first met), I told her I wanted to take it slow and be friends first (Get to know each other before seriously dating or anything), but she was pushing for multiple dates this last week, so I agreed to go out with her on Thursday (last night) and Satarday.

Before we got to thursday though, on like tuesday I think it was, she said if I got that Gov job she would just marry me right away lol. I kinda pulled back at that point and told her we were just friends for now.

Then she went into this whole thing talking about how she was raped by the last guy she met on craigslist, and he's in jail now etc. I already was like...woah...this person is kinda out there, but at that point I didn't even wanna chance a friendship with her really (I mean why would you go out with more guys from craigslist if you had that experience?).

Then she needed help getting a second car for her dog buisiness and in the process of helping her I found out she was basically totally broke (not what she had initially stated at all).

Finally she called yesterday around 11am upset and sitting on the side of the road because she got pulled over and a 325$ ticket for speeding.

I have been friendly and polite, but am working towards distancing myself even from being friends at this point, she just seems too crazy. I'd like more friends in the area, and she wants to work out/hike (which I really wanna find someone to do that with), but she seems too ......unstable....to get involved in even casually.

I will certainly learn from this and be FAR less free with information about myself until I find out if someone is....safe...enough to share info with. Luckily she doesn't know where I live etc, and just has my phone number etc, although I did facebook friend her.

Think I may just focus on work for now and making friends through meetup etc, and hold off on dating for a bit. Perhaps I'll meet someone naturally without having to use dating sites etc if I get out there and socialize more.

Oh well, could have been worse I guess, and again, at least I got a confidence booster by getting alot of replies etc, that is something. Live and learn.

Whoa.

Might not be a bad idea to screenshot this and save it, just in case she is crazy enough to go to the police with some bogus story to get you in trouble. Don't want to worry you, probably won't come to that, but this lady sounds unhinged enough where it might.

And in the future when going on dates, make sure you have a friend or relative who knows what you're up to, where and when you're going, and with whom. Try to keep to public places for a few dates at least. I'm sure those falls are nice and all, but it's also easier for crazies to make shit up if there's no witnesses or security footage.
