What credentials did you have that enabled you to get in to E3? I don't remember you ever working in the game industry unless modding counts... but I assume that isn't enough to get into E3, if it's something you were even doing in 2004.

Getting media badges through crappy reviewing sites was very easy to do back then.

It's very good.

I usually compare it to Blaster Master, except reverse it so that the top-down part is the main exploratory portion of the game and replace the platformer part with a vertical shooter.

The first half of season five was actually the strongest the show's ever been. Every episode from that point aside from the Spike episodes and the CMC episodes were either above average or just fucking excellent.

Season six was... pretty shaky, but it ended on a high note. Have yet to watch S7's premiere.

You're not. 50 is "hold A to win" mode. Even 40 makes the endgame easier than it should be. Expected endgame levels are mid-30's, with maybe a few outliers pushing the higher 30's.

Vanishing opponents in the Colosseum are really fucking annoying. I'm screaming "USE A SPELL DUMBASS!" at the AI.

This is being addressed in the next update. We really want for it to fucntion mroe as a trading post than an RNG-fest, so the only two opponents of any real difficulty (Siegfried and WEAPON) are getting beaten with a nerf stick.

There are roughly 300 monsters in the game, about 64 of which are humanoid. I opted to only give the humans things to steal so it would be far less balance work. Plus with a skill like steal, players get really burnt out stealing from *every* new enemy they run across - having a clear indication of "this enemy has something to steal" such as "two legs" means that they're much more likely to try. But that means I have to get that message across, and I choose negative reinforcement over positive reinforcement because it just sticks in the player's mind more. The only two cases of negative reinforcement that will flat-out kill you are both located right at or right next to save points, so virtually no time is lost, and a lesson is (hopefully) learned.
