One like Irma his much higher than that Maybe not destroy, but think of an asteroid. They can carry way more energy than a hurricane. And yet one of the proposals to stop them is to strap a rocket to the side and push it ever so slightly early in its course so that the trajectory changes and it misses us. You don't necessarily need to match the energy of a hurricane you just need to redirect it. |
