(note: this sounds a looooot more hostile than it meant to be, since you were both joking with me. anyways, carry on!) the NHL is a very niche league, where players suppress any semblance of personality (for the most part), and the parity of the league means that the regular season barely matters. the playoff format bears that out more. additionally the NHL is trying to increase scoring in a completely sisyphean, 20 year quest. if you're a hockey fan, it's good but unbearable at times the NFL is basically a bunch of rich fucks screwing over cities and policing fun. cornerbacks are policed so much that passes really don't have much drama. sure, there are some godly great athletes, but the NBA has does a more interesting job of portraying that the MLB is cool, but there's far too much "unwritten rules" bullshit and it annoys me at the best of times. also, we--Torontonians--keep throwing beer on the field and it's making us look bad basically, the NBA is the most fun. if you care only about results, the other three are better, but if you care about genuinely insane athletes--Lebron James, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Kahwi Leonard, John Wall, Kristaps Porzingis, Giannis Antekompumpo--do things most humans can barely dream of on a nightly basis, the NBA is the best --- |
