pretty much. you can throw out a lot of the Caps history because for the longest time, the only player worth noting on the Capitals was Dale Hunter. the 1998 run was a pleasant surprise, but that team wasn't going to win at all. however, since around 2010 or so, they have had genuinely league-beating talent, and have been in a relatively weak Eastern Conference for the most part. they should have broken through once, at least over the Lightning, Bruins, Flyers and Rangers

oh, and on the Leafs, same thing. they aren't chokers, they just haven't been any good overall. they had their best team in 1993 (and they got robbed by the refs, weirdly enough), but even then, neither Doug Gilmour nor Mats Sundin were world beaters. if this current Leafs team doesn't win in the next ten years, then yeah, re-start the conversation

I was a late bike rider and I was really embarrassed about it but I think I was 9 when i learned which seems funny in retrospect. 9 is one of the youngest possible ages and I thought I was an old man learning to ride a bike. I can also swim.
