Not particularly. I don't jump straight to "this didn't happen," because I don't really care enough to conclude one way or another, but I enjoy pointing out things that don't make sense in his not-really-plausible stories.

It honestly scares me a little bit that you DON'T jump straight to "this didn't happen".

Not because it's particularly believable, but because it so utterly inconsequential that I don't need a conclusion. If asked to make a clear guess one way or the other? I'd guess that it's probably not happening. But am I going to make such a guess proactively? Nah, I don't care enough for that.

That, and the effect this topic would have on my opinion of Erik wouldn't really change regardless of the story's veracity. Either way, it's a sad example of attention whoring. It's somewhat sadder if he's making it up, but either way, the whole "I need to announce to the Internet that I've got a girlfriend!" thing is so pathetic that that doesn't really have an appreciable impact.

Are you honestly suggesting nothing's been done to perpetuate those roles beyond the basic caveman "ugh me strong you hold baby while I stab food"? Because that's pretty obviously not remotely true at all. A whole lot has been done to reinforce those roles, long, long beyond the point where the underlying biology stopped mattering.

Serious question: Have you ever actually met any women? And interacted with them beyond that initial meeting? Because the only time I would consider that to be true is in the cases where the prevailing cultural ideal is that women who act aggressively and assertively will be seen as bossy and/or bitchy and fired instead of promoted. Take away the preconceived expectations that they should be docile and motherly, and women act pretty much exactly the same as men.

If we count making games, regardless of hardware, definitely Nintendo. There may or may not be a future for their approach of branching out from the traditional console style, but their games will persist. Meanwhile, the other two don't really make much by way of their own games, plus the traditional console style is becoming increasingly obsolete as gaming PC's because more accessible, so I don't see a future in their hardware departments either.

Yeah, I don't know how true it is now, but I remember several years ago I made a few people see ads for penis enlargement by saying "penis" a bunch of times in one of my posts (in a topic talking about weird ads, like this). People were pretty amused by it.

The thing is, Wonder Woman is a character that was invented just for the sake of having a female superhero. That's a character where gender does actually matter. It's a pretty dumb idea for a character, in that it's just flagrant tokenism/sex appeal, but it is what it is, and now the character's established as that. It's a different story with a character whose gender doesn't matter.

If it's a weight thing, those physiological differences aren't going to matter at all (maybe slightly, because the weight will be distributed in a slightly different manner, but these things aren't engineered so tightly as to be affected by that). If it's a girth thing, then a 40-inch waist on a man is exactly the same size as a 40-inch waist on a woman. The only real difference that arises there is that men typically know their waist size already because of how pants are sold, while women's clothes are more often sold by dress sizes and they're therefore less likely to know their waist. That's not significant enough to warrant different weight criteria.

Just once that I can remember, to report what seemed like a drunk driver on the highway (periodically swerving all over the place, with major overcompensation happening). The driver actually pulled off to the side just as I called, but I gave them all the information anyway, and the local police that investigated called me back afterwards to say that it was a lady that had realized she was too tired to be driving, and pulled over to rest. It was a pretty cool time; everyone was safe and nobody ended up facing charges or anything.

Sure. Not everyone likes it, which is cool, but some do, which is also cool.

I figure that's one that's going to be hard to find good opinions on, since so many people reviewing it negatively will be doing so just because they're butthurt that it's not a regular Pikmin game. My interest is piqued, but I figure I'll wait for enough impressions for me to sift through that.

It wouldn't surprise me if it actually can't. I'm sure that, if they really worked at it, they could design it to be able to pause, but it also wouldn't surprise me at all if that would take a huge amount of work. Toss in that there's little benefit, and you've got ample reason to not bother.

Plenty of other soldiers are on medication, though. Plenty of other soldiers are receiving treatment for psychological disorders, too. The military already has physical and mental health standards in place to ensure soldiers are fit for duty, which completely covers those concerns. For that purpose, this ban is entirely redundant.

Would you like another shot at coming up with a valid reason, or is that the best you can muster?

Treating erectile dysfunction can contribute to overall psychological health, yes.

It's part of the general health care provision for military members (health care in the US largely being something paid for by employers as a perk of employment, rather than having any sort of overarching system). It's not so much "our soldiers need boners" as "a number of military members have sought medical help for their erectile dysfunction, and its treatment is covered under the plan we provided."

That's nice, but it's got nothing to do with what I asked. Again, I don't care about your opinion. I'm inviting you to share your reasoning for thinking this ban is a good idea (or rather, sarcastically implying you don't actually have any reasoning, but I'm a big enough man to accept being proven wrong, if you can).

For basic commuting sort of use, $400-500 will get you something pretty decent. You don't really want to cheap out and get a Walmart special if you're going to be using it regularly, since you just won't get a very good bike out of that (heavy, uncomfortable, not very durable). At the other end, don't go looking for $1000+ bikes unless you're really serious about doing a lot of biking, since that just won't be necessary. Mine was $1100 CDN (at a point when the exchange rate was much closer to parity than it currently is), and while I love it, I wouldn't say that anyone looking for a bike should get one like it. I just do enough biking (mix of commuting and trail rides) to want something higher-end.

Your best bet would be to go into a bike shop, tell them what you're looking to use it for, give them your budget (and ask if they would recommend increasing your budget given your expected usage), and test ride what they recommend. Hit up a few different shops so you can compare different recommendations and models (different shops will carry different brands), keep track of what you try so you can tell other shops what you've liked already and get similar recommendations, and you'll be able to find something you like. I'd say start with a $500 budget, given what you're describing. Maybe a bit higher, since it sounds like you are looking to ramp up quite a bit, but don't necessarily jump right into the $1000+ stuff until you at least know you like doing it.

Many mammals use it to mark territory, and the storage mechanism would end up being the same (by virtue of evolution). Also, urine does have a smell to it, and can be used to track prey, so being able to control when that smell is left behind would be advantageous for anyone that doesn't want to leave a nice clear trail for predators to follow.

Doesn't matter how credible the advertising claim was or that viewers should have known better, the burden of truth is on the advertisers. Even if people should have been able to figure out it wouldn't be a real shark, if they said it was going to be a real shark (or even heavily implied it) and it wasn't, they falsely advertised the event.

I'd actually say both, if we're talking games that came out last gen. Having a PC meant every other console was completely pointless already, but I really haven't bought that many current-gen games that were on other systems, or spent that much time playing them. Most of the more current games I've bought on PC have also been indie titles, rather than more spec-intensive AAA type stuff, and they generally either were available on the WiiU and I went with the PC version for control or price reasons (or just the convenience of being able to transition seamlessly from PC use to playing them), or I didn't care about whether or not they were on the WiiU because I would have wanted the PC version anyway. The WiiU's exclusive library satisfied me pretty well, with a bunch of games that I very thoroughly enjoyed.

Though, if we're talking about playing the same games over and over, DotA and Minecraft would probably take the title there, and those are both PC.

Pretty much. The Xbone ironed out the PR nightmare that was its rocky start, but Nintendo never managed to market the WiiU properly, especially not during the one-year head start it had to try and cement an install base. It was a great system (I'd say the only worthwhile one of the generation, really), but they never managed to turn around the downward spiral of poor marketing, a low install base, and low developer interest.

I think the Story of Seasons games are by the company that made the Harvest Moon games before Natsume got ahold of the franchise name.

The actual development's been done by the same people the whole time, and released in Japan as Bokujo Monogatari. Natsume localized the games as Harvest Moon, but stopped localizing those games a couple years ago and started releasing different games under the Harvest Moon brand. XSeed picked up localizing the BokuMono games, and has released them as Story of Seasons.

Story of Seasons was decent, but I couldn't help but compare it to Rune Factory 4 and feel it fell horribly, horribly short. That said, RF4 was a bloody masterpiece, so maybe that's not entirely fair. I'd probably put SoS up there with HM64, though. I lost interest and drifted away from the game before finishing it (including not actually getting married because I just didn't care about any of the candidates), but the game's shortcomings that led to that aren't really anything HM64 didn't also suffer from. The series has just fallen behind as the standards for character development and mechanical depth change.

Presuming she has full neck/back mobility. If she doesn't , shoulder checks may not be an option, and something else to help her check her blind spots would be helpful.

It's not an unreasonable policy to not have drivers carry change, but it should be explicitly spelled out. If it isn't, then you are indeed charging customers more than the listed price, and whether they should be okay with rolling that into the tip or not, that's no bueno.

With all you talk about being so rich, you'd think you'd be able to afford some soundproofing foam. Maybe try blowing your money on that instead of a wallet with a pretty picture on it.

21 games is an absolute joke TBH.

I mean, it's not like they're going to give you the whole library for $80, and it's not like they could charge a price anyone would be willing to pay for a library that would include every worthwhile game.

Like armpit hair, it acts as a sort of dry lubrication for the skin around a particularly mobile set of joints, preventing chafing. Lubricating a particularly mobile joint is also why armpit and groin sweat differ from other sweat.

Genetics establish a baseline, but environment and experiences determine where you end up relative to that baseline, with considerable variability from it.

Can't really form an opinion without knowing what the case looks like.

I kinda like their hot chocolate. I'll get one from time to time, if I'm in the neighbourhood and in the mood for a warm beverage. Don't actually know when the last time I did that was, but I'd be surprised if I've averaged out to more than 2-3 a year in the past decade.
