What if you get nightkilled without saying who you thought were Scum? If you list 4 people and all 4 are Scum, then they nightkill you, it's a lot more information given to Town. Why would they kill you otherwise?

you just end up in WIFOM territory there cause you could speculate a misdirect (which i guess is an argument against my own logic) but one way or another i still don't see what actual benefit we get from conversing before an ulti lynch.

like we don't get any new claims, people won't respond to pressure knowing that they won't get lynched, and we can just bypass all of that and move on to actually being able to apply real pressure

The main benefit is that whoever dies tonight can get their thoughts out about the four flips we have had. That's the point of talking today.

But I'm sick of seeing Ulti post so yeah, just finish the day. My girlfriends in town so I won't be checking back over the past day anymore, I think that I've figured out who I'm looking for so I'm good to move into night phase now

Yeah, Scum have claimed when they're a lost cause. Usually stuff like that deserves a modkill. The problem is that VI would have the choice between ending day and not ending with it (unless that rule has been normalized). Ending day here would hurt Town, as not ending it would hurt Scum.


And you could argue he's playing to win, if it turns out that Tony is Scum and "Taking down the cop, doctor, and roleblocker all in one day" is a way to give him an alibi.

Also the stuff about the SK. What Ulti said is a part of the game now.

Anyway, I honestly wanted Kanz to get lynched at end of day 1 when reading through, until I saw how much Ulti was freaking out. I didn't buy the roleblocker claim as Town, and was afraid of it hitting me.

That said, as soon as Ulti started saying things that I feel deserved a modkill, he would've been my lynch, so take that as you will. My vote at the end of the day was still on eaed, and I stand by that.

OK and as for Ulti. Yesterday a lot of people thought he was scum because he flipped out, and now people still think he's scum for flipping out. That's uh, what's the word? Short-sighted?

Han's argument was the only one I saw that didn't talk about 'tirades' and the argument was essentially centered around himself, which doesn't do anything for me as long as Han's alignment is an unknown.

Same reasons as yesterday. He'd absolutely be making more noise in this game if he was town. Also was one of the later votes on Kanz (which I also was too but what can you do).

Ulti's attack on Kanz felt as odd as his defense on me. It really felt like he was grandstanding a lot yesterday. I also don't think Ulti cares enough about being mislynched as a vanilla to get as angry as he did over suspicion towards him.

Also, Ulti's showing no remorse over the Kanz lynch. True, sometimes you're wrong, but Ulti still feels very okay about Kanz being dead.

PJ claiming to be Magus doesn't mean anything in context. Obviously it's a fake claim. And listening to others, you can realize that pj always claims miller at the beginning of games. Also, knowing the flavor, Magus is a perfect fit for a miller - enemy that joins your party. As Town, anybody could've pulled that claim out of the air. As Scum, anybody could have pulled that claim out of the air. It basically means nothing.

The blindly following thing isn't a bad thread to go on.

This post also looks Scummy because you're using a combination of meaningless reasoning and very obvious reasoning to go after somebody who appears to not be that hard to get a train going on.

Do you gain anything having them claim? I don't think the claim is going to change your opinion much. Pressure, fine, see what they are thinking, fine. But claims today are mostly worthless.

This is more of what I've expected of you red. Anyway, maybe they are worthless because things will just happen tomorrow! I'm 90% the nightkill tonight, so unless Ulti turns out to be the Scum roleblocker, I'm getting all I can during what I assume is my last in-game day.
