Yeah, I unashamedly love the game. The basic puzzle gameplay is fun and addictive, the characters and dialogue are genuinely funny at times, the voice acting is surprisingly good (at least I think so) and the soundtrack is catchy as fuck.







Also just a quick FYI about that Christ Centered Gamer review, it should be noted that they actually do a honest review about the game itself, and then give it two scores (a game score and a morality score). So while they found the game immoral they did say it was fun and can see why people would enjoy it.

You know, the fact that there won't be any X-Men characters in the game (at least at launch) doesn't bother me much. It's not cause I don't care about the X-Men (I would actually love to have some in the game if possible), it's cause Marvel's got a LOT of other great characters they could use.

The problem, though, is that they're just recycling the majority of the Marvel side from UMvC3 (only new characters are Captain Marvel, Gamora, Ultron and possibly Ant-Man if he's his own character this time around). There's also Black Panther, but for greedy ass reasons they're hiding him behind a Season Pass. There are SO many other great Marvel options they could be including that would be new to the VS series, like:

Daredevil
Punisher
Spider-Woman
Spider-Gwen
Scarlet Witch
Luke Cage
Blade
Moon Knight
Jessica Jones

So yeah, lack of X-Men characters doesn't bother me as much as the severe recycling of characters (on both sides). It boggles my mind that, at the very least, Daredevil still hasn't made it into a Marvel VS game.

While I agree that the roster being composed mostly of recycled characters from UMvC3 is annoying and some of the return choices are straight up dumb (like Arthur, Spencer and Nova) that old picture you're using is already false. There was a gameplay trailer released that showcased Zero as a playable character, and he wasn't on the big leak list.

I got in at the ground floor and actually bought this back in 2000 when it first came out. It was as amazing back then as it still is to this day.

Easily my second favorite video game of all time (second only to Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines).

Any comments on the expansions? Are they worth it?

They're easily worth the MSRP of $24.99 (for the Expansion Pass) so at 50% off it's a steal.

Hearts of Stone is the shorter of the two, but it's got an amazing story, memorable characters and some damn fine writing. And Blood and Wine, while not quite AS good as Hearts of Stone, is still a phenomenal experience and offers at least twice as much content in an all new area of the game.

I know, but you have to understand what we are talking about. The Superman from the Injustice universe is evil and kills people willingly. We know that the main universe Supes doesn't do that, but the Injustice one does and the guy that said "that" Superman is the heroic one was wrong.

The Superman from that video is the good Superman that's gone into the universe that's being ruled by the evil Superman. That's why this scene makes no sense.

I have to respectfully disagree. I originally thought the 80's were the best until I started researching 90's music. The 90's had too many good songs to count. For every 1 good song from the 80's, there are 3 from the 90's.

I'd say it's the other way around. For every good song in the 90's there were 2 or 3 in the 80's. Easily. Hell, the pop music alone from the 80's is far superior to any of the pop music from the 90's.

Plus Gwent was really simplistic in W3 so they would've had to p much fully redesign a new card game from the ground up since og Gwent has so little player interaction.

GWENT has actually been changed up quite drastically for the standalone game compared to the Witcher 3 version. Some noticeable changes:

-Cards now have bronze, silver and gold types. Each deck can only contain 4 gold and 6 silver so you can't outfit a deck with nothing but overpowered cards.

-Cards can have multiple effects now, including activating when the card is placed, if it's attacked, if the other player plays a certain type of cards, etc.

-Cards can now get armor to help give them additional protection from enemy effects. Armor can also be used in regards to certain special abilities (for example, one card gives an additional point of strength to cards next to it for every turn they have at least 1 armor point).

-Both players choose a special leader card that can be played once per match, which gives you a unique ability. For example if you have Foltest he's worth 4 strength, and when played gives every single card in your hand and deck an additional point of strength.

-While the game still starts with both sides drawing 10 cards (and being allowed to redraw 3 of them), each additional turn grants cards and redraws (turn 2 gives both players 2 cards and 1 redraw, and turn 3 gives both players 1 card and 1 redraw).

I'm sure there's more I'm missing, but you get the point. It's got the same basic structure as the Witcher 3 version, but they've changed up so much that it feels like a different game (for the better in my opinion). And although it wasn't mentioned in this topic yet the final version of the game will have five 10+ hour single player campaigns with branching paths and written by the writers of Witcher 3. So there will be plenty of single player content as well.

The big thing that should be pointed out is that the Skullgirls 2nd Encore DLC is included in this, and that hasn't gone on sale for lower than $7.49 before today I believe.

So this bundle is worth it for that alone if you're interested in that DLC.
