Self checkout doesn't have a sign that says "20 items or less" in the stores where I've seen it. Those signs are in manned stations.

You feel like an adult when you live in your own place (even if it is rented), pay bills for utilities/services, and have to think about toilet paper and groceries not running out, because they don't magically appear/restock themselves anymore. There's also the issue of a disadvantage for the side with them in a confrontation. Side A has real guns and 3 guys. Side B, also with 3 guys, has intars, and side A knows it. If there is a gunfight, all side A has to do is come out of cover and try to take all 3 of side B. His partners can pick him up later when all three Bs are dead.

Something that is shot just like a gun, and drops people as if you had killed them, but they are actually instantaneously unconscious. No permanent damage (except for anything caused by the fall), and most people wake up after about two hours.

Who should have it? Who would actually end up having it? Will it be better or worse? There would probably be a lot less deaths, but also a lot more theft, because you don't have to worry about killing someone. Just shoot, take their stuff, and they wake up later with no wallet. Obviously, if someone actually wants to kill someone else, they would still get real bullets, unless those went out of production.
