He didn't use it as cover. He was already dropping hints days before that a pardon was likely coming. It's not like it just came out of the blue.

He knew people would be watching the news (because of the storm) and wanted to get the word out.

Hmm, my expectation isn't that there are other plces like NYC, but rather the desirability and jobs in NYC combined with the high cost of living have caused a sprawling mismatch between where people live and where they work so that a disproportionate share of people in NJ and CT and VT etc work in NYC, and this proximity to a higher cost metro pushes prices up for nearby areas.

There are other blue states like Illinois, Delaware, or New Mexico that aren't next to NY.

Hawaii also goes blue I believe.

The dishonest part is that they don't tell you that in order to move up the chain that you are actually competing with lots of other people also selling knives and if they do a better job than you, then you don't move up.

My brother worked for them breifly and they had some kind of creepy religious-ish awards ceremony for people who did the best and this one girl won basically all of them and was moving up the chain. Everyone else basically just had to sit on their thumbs and get nothing.

They don't actually advertise it as you can become a millionaire from just selling knives. The whole thing is basically you start selling knives and if you do a good job you move up and then instead of selling knives you are in charge of the people selling knives and make your money off of what they sell. Do a good job and move up to watching over a district. Repeat.

The problem is that there are important things that NEED tax money in order to function at all. Things like helping the poor, maintaining roads and bridges, etc.

The solution isn't to raise or lower taxes, it's to close and enforce the closure of all the corporate loopholes that make businesses pay less than they really owe. Until the loopholes are solved the tax code doesn't mean a lot to where the money REALLY is.

It also wouldn't be bad to adjust the tax brackets too and add some higher tiers. With wages stagnating and wealth accumulating upwards it would help ease the burden on people who find themselves struggling.

Luxaray. Thunderbolt will likely be more powerful than thunder fang even with the difference in atk and sp. atk due to better power. Crunch is better than thief. Ice fang is a good option if you don't mind breeding.

Machamp. Assuming you are running No Guard Dynamic Punch > All Fighting Moves. Sp. Atk is horrible I would never consider running Fire Blast on it. Payback would be good to hit Ghosts. Stone Edge with No Guard hits flying very well. You can keep Drain Punch if you want, but you need Dynamic Punch with No Guard.

Clefable. Meteor Mash is bad. Steel is poor offensive typing and Clefable has weak atk. Ice Beam > Blizzard. Thunder Wave is good utility on Clefable.

What HP is Roserade? Anyways your Roserade actually looks decent. Although Shadow Ball doesn't actually hit anything Grass/Poison can't.

Seaking. Horn Attack is bad. Peck is bad too. It can learn Mega Horn which can hit grass types hard. Return would be better than Horn Attack.

Online voting or an app would be far easier to hack than a paper ballot. A lot of areas could simply use more places where people can vote so people don't have to travel far to vote.
