Psyche locks are back. I don't need to retell what went down, but I feel super dumb that I didn't associate the three-pronged arrow (that was found near their home no less) with the holes on the envelope and letter.

The warning came three days before the rite. This makes no sense, but it was found at the side of their bed. I picture this place as one where everyone keeps their doors unlocked, but in this bizarre scenario where someone bothered to stick an arrow through an envelope and place it next to a bed, it suggests that Zeh'lot was the culprit behind the envelope. I'd sooner believe that Beh'leeb is lying through her teeth than Zeh'lot being that much of an idiot.

What's that, they DID have their house locked up? Please let it be Beh'leeb.

Phoenix thinks that only Maya might know more about Tahrust. Uh, have we forgotten Zeh'lot, you know the guy who lived with Tahrust? I know that we can't speak to him now, but how was he not the first person you thought of?

They are making me attend a rite for Tahrust. I probably don't want to meet Rayfa's parents...oh for fuck's sake her father is the Minister of Justice! He is still an arrogant douche. At least the queen was tolerable. Rayfa definitely takes more after her father.

There's a poster confirming the differences in heights between the two peaks. This was added into evidence, so it definitely matters. Given the reasons why they suspect Maya, I have to assume that I will end up having to prove the murder could partially take place on this shorter peak (might have something to do with the broken wind guard and/or the sewn together papers). I'm probably not going to remember the names of each peak, but I will try to remember that there is a 12 meter difference.

Datz Are'bal is the escaped prisoner. That's our pal?

There is an envelope with the same holes as the letter sitting in the trash can. Perhaps this was not sent to Tahrust but to Beh'leeb. Perhaps this was the true reason why she didn't attend the rite or maybe she sent it to herself to get her out of it so she could then kill her husband. Maybe, she isn't even pregnant and created that story as part of the plot to kill her husband and then she can claim to have had a natural abortion later due to the stress of losing her husband. I am not getting a good vibe from her and her expression-less face. It seems like destiny that she will eventually crack in court and that expression-less face will turn into something fierce.

Oh, the letter was addressed to Tahrust. So much for all those theories, not that they are all debunked mind you.

Ahlbi explains boring Defiant Dragon stuff. That being said, I have to pay attention so I don't get confused when this is all at the forefront of the game. The previous Queen, Amara, was assassinated by supposedly Dhurke. If I recall correctly, he was previously an attorney, so maybe the country's hatred toward attorneys stems from that and not anything that actually occurred in the courtroom.

Phoenix likes the escaped prisoner as the true culprit for the current crime. Naturally, I do not.

A three-pronged arrow was found near the victim's house.

I have met the widow, Beh'leeb Inmee - Believe in me. I can't help but feel that these puns will end up being ill-fitting for their true character.

This country has their own version of Steel Samurai, The Plumed Punisher.

Maya felt sleepy during a critical part of the rite. If they claim that she ingested something well-before the rite, eyes are on the widow since Maya has already mentioned loving her food. If they claim she was drugged during the rite, then you got me.

Maya wants to keep her channeling ability a secret. I don't know about you, but it seems like if there was one place in the world where people would accept her for her "gifts" it would be here.

Maya claims that the water surrounding the bird statue was already red when she got there. Perhaps it was mixed with some agent that slowly knocks people out? The police confirmed that the water turned red due to the victim's blood, so you know that they are wrong.

Police did a poor job at inspecting the person they are accusing of murder. Maya has an important piece of evidence on her. It is a note from "Lady Kee'ra" that demands for the rite to not be performed and "she knows what you are planning." I assume that the you refers to Tahrust. Said letter has holes in it.

Puhray Zeh'lot is mentioned yet again. Could I be on the right track with my baseless theory?

Some guy in what appears to be a disguise wants me to guess who he is. Hell if I know, Butz? I guess he left before I could find out.

Why would Rayfa think that this guy is Khura'inese solely because he knew of Lady Kee'ra? If 100% of the country are devout practitioners of the same religion (which has to be a lie since Defiant Dragons no?), how on earth would someone see the goddamn princess (a child at that) and say, "Oh, are you this woman of legend from long, long ago?"

I dig the new style of detention center. The old one was cold and uninviting. The new one looks a bit homely with the added prison bars to remind you that this isn't a vacation spot.

Oh, they are allowing me to get to their version of the detention center first. It makes more sense to go look at the crime scene. Fuck, it seems that Rayfa is here. She's not going to be happy to see unauthorized personnel on sacred ground. Ouch, they are making me continue talking to her before investigating the crime scene.

"All practitioners from overseas are big, big phony baloneys!"
- Rayfa are insisting that she wasn't a child

I have no idea why they placed info about Tahrust's face tattoo in the autopsy report of all places.

Large info dump for my convenience regarding the investigation:
- A single lantern has its wind guard broken
- Area around said lantern had its snow shoveled
- Inner sanctum is higher than the adjacent mountain top
- Only moon and lanterns were a source of light during the rite
- Bird statue is missing an eye
- Amount of blood loss indicates an incredible amount of force was used
- The Lady Kee'ra robe is believed to be the real deal
- The robe smells of incense
- Blood-stained letter appears to be orders/directives from someone in Defiant Dragons
- Paper flags were sewn together
- Curtain surrounding the sanctum perimeter was shut during the rite
- No dagger is at the scene

I also feel like informing users that players value these two things the most (not necessarily in order):
1. Need on Team – will clearly be a starter at their position
2. Money – Care more about total money and signing bonus than annual averages

Just so this doesn't mislead anyone or force anyone to feel like offering a contract that they really don't want to offer to someone, this is just a rule of thumb.

Tahrust died from blood loss due to a stab wound to the abdomen. The murder weapon is believed (aka probably not) the dagger from Maya's ritual getup.

I stopped before heading off to the crime scene, without getting it cleared first. Talk about giving something for the future gallery to lambaste me over during trial.

Victim's name was Tahrust Inmee - Trust in me

Murder was in the inner sanctum, which basically nobody is allowed in. I am assuming that Maya was allowed in there as an exception since she was a stand-in for the ritual.

"Yeah I can't say that I've been impressed with the police work I've seen so far."
- Phoenix

I wholeheartedly agree if we encompass the entire franchise. What do you expect when investigation-to-charges-to-trial occurs in a 24 hour period!

Nah is confirmed to be my opponent.

I do not doubt that it's a thing, but I have honestly never heard of someone passing out from immediate back pain.

Ahahaha, Maya's been arrested. I am looking forward to Athena, Pearl, Ema, or someone else being arrested in the next episode. I assume it was murder, and the victim is likely the high priest or that Zealot guy (I know that they spelled it differently) they pointed out earlier. Well, Zealot is still therem so it's probably the high priest. I wonder if it will end up being Zealot despite being in a prayer position.

Ema is here, so I presume Nah came home. If I don't sound thrilled, it's because I'm not.

Zeh'lot is the guys real name, and he lives with the victim and I believe they said that the victim's wife was pregnant. Nasty soap opera shenanigans perhaps? That might be too adult for this game.

Rite was apparently performed at night, but it didn't look dark to me. Phoenix must have been out for awhile.

Maya is older than me at 28. Does this mean Phoenix is about 40?

Her home is Kurain. This is Khura'in. I feel like there's some sort of connection here that I'm missing.

Maya intends to go home after performing the rite tonight. She's definitely going to be accused of murder. What's that, Maya's going to be dressing up as the thing that presumably killed two men in the opening video? It would be a monumental shocker if she isn't accused of murder now.

"Rebel hunter" has popped up a few times already
- Phoenix inner thought + dialogue from men in opening video

Hmm, the guys at the beginning might not have been killed. Their appearances do not match up with those from the newspaper (I think), but I'll just assume that they weren't killed.

Episode 3: The Rites of Turnabout

The thing from Spirited Away is presumably murdering people.

Ahlbi's theme is the same as Bonny/Betty, but it is ill-fitting for Khura'in culture.

I would be shocked if Maya isn't accused of murder. The only other option is if they are going to go after Ahlbi again.

If you have to wonder if Maya has matured, the answer is almost certainly no.

15 hours a day praying? Oh, it is just figurative prayer.

And to wrap this up, I have a request to make. User inactivity destroyed the old Patriots franchise and it still hasn't recovered. Is anyone morally objected to me submitting FA offers to a few players on the Hawks behalf if crazy ends up not submitting any? Through 1+ seasons, he has only done phase 1 of RFAs (S7), sign rookies (S8), and ask a question about coaching strategies (S7). Their team has lost a lot of talent to free agency and retirement the past two seasons, and I do not wish to see what happened to the Patriots happen to the Hawks or any other team.

This is related to the reason why I drafted a DE for them in the 1st. For starters, I have gone on record saying that I dislike starting rookies at the QB position. Through seven seasons, only three rookie QBs can say they had a good rookie season. Back to the point, the Hawks DEs are getting older and could use a younger, quality backup at each DE spot. I saw that there were a ton of options at QB on the open market, and decided that I would target one of them should the rest of the league be okay with it.

I am going to sound like a broken record, but I feel like I always have to reiterate that these are NOT the exact deals you have to offer them (it is highly encouraged that you don't since you are bidding against 31 other teams). Also to reiterate, these are NOT all the free agents, just the top eight and worst at each position. If there's a certain kind of player that you are looking for and he isn't on the list, feel free to ask me.

I also feel like informing users that players value these two things the most (not necessarily in order):

There are two types of contracts that I will never, ever accept

1. Any mention of the word "Maximum" relating to total salary or signing bonus.
2. A massive one year contract

The first one has in fact happened in the past, and I had to throw it out as it is both unfair in the laziest of ways and also impossible when it comes to total salary.

The second one is also unfair for teams with lots of cap space to also maintain artificial flexibility for future seasons by using up a lot cap space this season and then signing the player to an uncontested market value contract the following offseason, which then allows them to repeat this process as many times as they can/want.

Also, due to fairness issues, any cuts you make during free agency must be sent in during these time periods:
- At least 96 hours prior to the end of Period 1
- At least 48 hours prior to the end of Period 2
- Not allowed in Period 3

Here are some sample contract offers that I will accept, including more simple approaches:

- 4 / $7.00 mil / $1.40 mil
- 5 / $9.00 mil / $2.00 mil
- 3 years default, +$1 mil total salary, +$500k signing bonus
- 2 years default

When you give me an offer, you are giving me your consent to offer the player the closest deal that he will consider, meaning that if you offer 4 / $6.00 mil / $2.00 mil and he will only consider it when it is 4 / $6.50 mil / $2.00 mil, I will offer him the latter. If that does not sit well with you, then you have the simpler options I previously laid out or you may explicitly say to not offer the contract unless he will consider those exact financials.

When you PM me the offers, I want you to PM me a header that says "[Your Team]'s Offers" so that I don't accidentally open them. I am the Dolphins' GM, so there could very well be some conflict of interests, and thus the best way around that is for me to not open those PMs until it is time to put in the offers and sim the game. I have default PM settings, so you can all tell if and when I open a PM of yours. If a fellow GM would like to receive my PM offers to show that I am being fair and impartial, I am fine with at. If not, I hope that means you all trust me.

Under no circumstances may you ask me if so and so player will consider a certain deal or anything of that nature. You may ask me general questions regarding free agency, but nothing that goes against the spirit of free agency or give you a competitive advantage. If you do have a question, I prefer that you use the topic. If you wish to ask me via PM, make sure to be clear you are asking a question or I may not read it out of caution of it being a list of contract offers.

Free Agency

See all those players in the free agent sheet? Now is the time to attempt to sign them to your team. I say attempt because you will be, in theory, competing with 31 other teams for the services of every free agent.

Unlike the three previous offseason events involving signings, the desired deal that I will eventually list will usually not be enough to sign a player, and it definitely will not if it is any one of the top players available. If you do intend to seek out a top player, you will probably want to give a custom offer that is in excess of what they want. Whether that means years, total money, signing bonus, or a combination of the three is up to you.

I will not list every player on the free agent sheet, but you are free to ask for contract info for any player listed there that I do not post contract info for here. Also know that the players on the free agent sheet are just the Top 8 and bottom player player at each position. There are plenty more players available at every position, but they are all in the 9-to-second-to-last range at their position. If there's a particular kind of player you are looking for at a position, feel free to ask me, and I will let you know if someone fits that description.

There will be three periods of free agency. These are the tentative real life days each period will last:

1st - 7 days
2nd - 4 days
3rd - 1 day

I forget the name of the place where I saved and quit, but the file says that I am 21% done with Tomb Raider.

I have decided not to go for 100% because I am playing offline and unsure if progress for anything (such as comparison stats and achievements) are saved and synced when I go back online.

I obviously already posted this, but when I saw that the victim was 30, that meant he was a kid when he was kicked out of Troupe Gramarye. That didn't sit well with me either, but I also know that Japan is really wacky about ages.

It was a huge red flag that they waited until the beginning of the trial to reveal the victim's name and age. It wasn't until Retinz' slip up of the Gramarye Creed that I had my proof.

It's also not unreasonable to think that the D'Backs will improve. Miller and Greinke had awful seasons last year and A.J Pollack barely played. That along with better health across the board and more depth could make them a surprise team in the wild card discussion.

53 is max in real life. The roster sheet has exactly as many rows as you do spots on your team, so the amount of empty cells under your team column is the amount of open spaces that you have.
