The game needed to be slowed down after what ARC-V caused. Swarming the field for rapid Synchro/Xyz summoning was basically the only way to win, and Pendulums helped make it much easier to do so. The new mechanics (Link summoning and Extra Monster Zones) still allow you to use the extra deck well, but it would take a lot more effort and resources to summon to the extent that used to be possible. They're all still viable, just not stupidly fast like they used to be.

You're insane if you think Links will slow the game down, all this shit does is keep the speed but remove every other lane of speed for just one.

So the "Speed Duel" format used in Duel Links is going to be included in the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh anime series, and it might also become an alternate format in the real life card game too. That's pretty neat.

It's a pretty good middle finger to people who play pendulum,xyz,synchro and fusion decks,too.

This should be nationwide in fact, it doesn't go far enough, they should have to do all of this AND have a valid driver's licence by their junior year,a passport and mandatory class for living on their own with apartment landlords offering plans to the schools for some kind of arrangement. No kidding, I fight the camera in breath of the wild about as much as I fight the monsters. It's especially a pain when you're fighting a mob of horseback moblins on foot or a pack of wolves because those sneaky bastards will run off camera and attack you, even worse is when you're in gerudo desert and you hear the music for the Modulga but you don't see it, you don't see anything but it's HP bar, then suddenly like fucking Jaws it pops out of the sand, sends Link sky high and chomps like the giant cheeps in Tiny Huge Island. Never traverse that place without a sand seal guys. God fucking damn.

My brother is really wanting this game, We loved Banjo-Kazooie stuff as kids. But I honestly, with deepest sincerity want whoever designed Grunty Industries to get kicked in the shine, that fucking Jiggly by the boat's rudder was such bullshit! Total bullshit!

That level where you turn into a bee to fly up a giant tree with ever changing seasons was great,tho and Clanker...that place was nightmare fuel as a kid, even if he's a pretty nice guy, I fucking hated that level and it's creepy insides.
