I don't get whythey used Hamon (sp?) for 2 parts as the mega technique but then decide to replace it with Stands for some reason. Why not just wait a little longer to introduce them or have both be used?

The Ripple was already being used wildly inconsistently by Part 2, and even then the applications weren't nearly as crazy as Stands are in general.

I think the subject they used to discuss the issue (the kid spraying chemicals) was a stupid one, because 1. Danny wouldn't have killed the kid, just detain him for info and 2. because Luke was in the wrong with that example.

Luke didn't know about the chemical thing though right? He knew the kid was involved in something way over his head, and the next time he sees him, Danny is looking like he's going to punch his lights out. And as soon as Luke intervenes, Danny starts expending all his energy trying to fight him, including a show of force that would tear through anyone who isn't bulletproof.

What I'm saying is Danny is just an idiot, but in that moment he came off as a villain.

Iron Fist is absolutely not necessary to watch Defenders. There is more than enough back and forth between all the heroes that involves catching everyone up to speed on the important plot bits, including the viewer.

And unlike the other characters, Danny Rand is not nuanced. Matt, Jessica, and Luke all have moments where you can see where they're coming from because you know what they've been through personally, but Danny has nothing like that. He wants to kill all the ninjas, and that never changes.

Just finished it. I feel very misled by the reviewers who said this dragged like previous series. The pacing is more solid than every season that's not Daredevil season 1.

Also I didn't watch any of Iron Fist and I got on just fine.

It's supposed to refer to the Emperor reigning at the time of a series/movie's production. Until the Emperor abdicates the throne sometime this year or the next, everything should technically be called Heisei. But even Toei doesn't even take it that seriously so idk why some fans bother trying to draw lines in the sand.

The anime ending is at least two VN endings mashed together for ultimate WTFness.

Also I haven't read the VN, but from how people describe it I get the impression that it takes itself more seriously, whereas the anime kind of leans into how terrible it is.

He'll be back, there's a CE Comic about how this shit happens so much. From what I remember it starts out with two people talking then proudclad shows up wearing sunglasses, a shirt with his name on it, along with his jeans with a 200 dollar price tag on it,pointing thumbs at his own shirt, the next panel is confusion by the other two as Proudclad stands in between them still making the same pose followed by a third panel of the cops, with mod names on their badges, can't remember which ones, arresting him and putting him in a squad card with B7 written on the side.
