The online tests are largely bull****. They test for behaviors. But MBTI is not a behaviorist theory. It is a cognitive theory dealing with how you actually take in information and make decisions. All the types can have the same outward behavior but for WILDLY different cognitive reasons. This is why people mistype so often with the online tests. Not to mention the rampant fetishizing of certain MBTI types (because of their "rarity") makes people want to test as those types even more leading to more mistypes.

In order to accurately type yourself you need to determine which cognitive functions you use and in what order of preference.



I recommend Michael Pierce on Youtube. He's a great resource.

I used to regularly clean out the inbox, otherwise I would have as many lol.

It's interesting remembering life back then (a lot of messages from 2011/2012). I went through some tough stuff. I went through it even before then. I've been through tough stuff since. And I'm sure more tough stuff is coming. I helped people through their stuff too though. I hope I helped in a meaningful way.

In light of the recent suicide of Chester Bennington, I thought I'd post this thing I sent to someone who voiced thoughts on suicide. I hope this helps anyone who might be going through a hard time.

You may look for a way out of life if you choose. Find some reasons, get some validation. But I hope that when you're done searching, and you've seen what there is to see, you realize that what you find there is far more dismal than persevering through life.

As for myself, I refuse to allow a situation control me to the point of death. Even if you subscribe to existentialism and my life has no meaning, I refuse to let an equally meaningless situation extinguish my will to live. I know it's difficult to see when you're at the bottom of that hole, but all I can promise is that it won't always be dark. It's the possibility of light you have to live for.

As I mentioned, the sun was setting on the semester. I had recently started my job in IT at my university, and as such, I needed a place to stay in town. I needed to continue working over the summer and make bookoo bucks. The answer didn't come immediately, but this is where A and J come back in.

During the back half of my freshman year I had joined the University Mariachi group with A and J as another way of bonding and jamming. Remember how I mentioned I played the violin? Well the group happened to need talented violinists and I was happy to play with A and J so I joined. That was another cool thing about J. He also played violin. We were similar in a lot of ways actually. Both really light skinned for having Hispanic families, both around the same build and height. We used to joke to people who didn't know us that we were brothers even.

One day, at the end of mariachi practice, I was hanging out with A and J like usual and A and I realized we both needed places to stay. It turned out he was good friends with a chick from Mariachi who happened to need to sublet for the summer, so he talked to her and we all agreed to terms and it was settled. Just like that, I'd be living my first summer away from home. The friend? We'll call her VV. She's not that important, but I lived with her over the summer, so she gets a name.

A, J and I had become really good friends by this point. I left this out before, but all through the V saga, A, J and I were still constantly jamming and smoking. And by this time we were smoking more than just cigarettes. We had this great spot we used to go to right next to a water tower not far from campus. J always drove us there in his car at night and we'd all smoke and generally have the most hilarious times. So many inside jokes were born out of those times. Too many to even remember by this point. We even brought some of our friends from the crew with S sometimes.

The summer started out on similar vibes to these. I had smoked before, but it was literally a handful of times in high school before I met A and J. So the first times I actually started feeling the effects were some of the best memories I have. I had never been so creative, funny and musical in my entire life. Suddenly I could bust a sweet flow to any beat on command, I could come up with lyrical melodies through whistling on the spot, I made the best puns constantly. And I could smoke like a champ.

We went to parties. We drank. We smoked. We jammed. Rinse and repeat.

J was living on a mutual friend's couch for the summer, but A and I still saw him all the time. 99% of the time I was with A though. Whenever J wasn't around, I was smoking and jamming with A and generally having a good time. We used to like to take long walks around town and bring the guitar and just hang out and sing. One of my favorite things about A and J was that none of us were embarrassed to sing around each other. And none of us had bad voices either! A was probably the most talented of us though. He had an impeccable ear and his tuning was great.

By now you're probably wondering: "What's so bad about this? Sounds like you were having a great time!"

And I was. For now. But as we all know, too much of anything can ruin it.. But more on that later.

One day I got home from work. A and J were both at the apartment already.

"Bro. Do you wanna do shrooms?" A said
"Like right now?! I mean..." I started
"Nah not now haha, But I know a guy." A said
"Dudes. I've ALWAYS wanted to" J said.
"No f****** way? Let's do it then" I said.

I had heard of shrooms. But I was honestly ignorant of the effects. I asked A and J a bit about it and they were more knowledgeable. A psychedelic. Huh. Interesting. What better time to experiment than during the summer with these great dudes? I started researching. And soon that day came. I'll divulge all on the next page.

Admittedly, my stomach dropped.

A threesome. With another dude? I was sort of reluctant. And V could tell. "Come onnnn. Plleeeasseeeeee" she begged, doing her best sexy stance while she said it "It's the only thing I want for my birthday. H is totally down!"

It turns out H wasn't exactly completely Asexual. He only did it to "help" her when she needed. He could help, so why wouldn't he (good guy greg face goes here)? I still didn't know if I should. I mean I had done some interesting things up until this point. Maybe it wouldn't be that weird.

"Just come to my place tomorrow around the usual time...I promise it won't be weird. Let's just see what happens. If you're not comfortable, you can leave. I won't be mad"

She made me feel safe about it, which I greatly appreciated. So I decided I would at least show.

The walk there felt longer than usual. I didn't know what to expect. I mean it's not like I hadn't seen pr0n before, but gearing up to actually do the thing, for the first time mind you (and with another dude no less), was setting my heart off again. The beating seemed to increase with every step, but eventually I got to the door and knocked.
She opened, and I walked in. H was there, sitting on the floor, shirtless already. Him and I had become somewhat friends, just due to circumstance, but we had a connection that for some reason, made us both very comfortable with each other. Kindred spirits maybe. H assured me, being asexual, he definitely wasn't into dudes, and he knew I wasn't either. He made it very clear he was just there to help V. Which was the reassurance I needed. We bumped fists, and he said "don't worry, I mapped this all out" and we got to work.

There are some things no one tells you about this stuff. Stuff you wouldn't have thought about. Like how when she's there between you, a sort of perverted reciprocity begins. Push and pull. We helped each other the same way two lumberjacks would heave and ho a saw back and forth.

H was massive by the way. Like I'm an above average guy, but I couldn't help but "wtf" at H. Like even as a straight dude, I was like "wow man". Had never seen anything like that outside the internet

But anyway, cue another exceptionally long session. Eventually we were done, and V had the giggles again paired with that dumb grin plastered all over her face. We all cleaned up, and then I left.

By this time, the semester was coming to a close. I was in the process of finding a place to stay for the summer since I had just recently gotten a job on campus. But V had to leave for the summer. As the circumstances demanded, we slowly drifted and I stopped seeing V. After it all happened I still wasn't sure how to feel about it all. But I decided to just put it all behind me and move forward. The summer was coming.

And yes, there's still a lot more to this story. That was just freshman year..

The rest will be a little faster. It's not quite as interesting, but we have to go through it. It's all part of the reasons why I left PotD and now why I'm ultimately back. You know the rules. I'll see you on the next page ;)

V was... interesting. Remember that guy who was with her that I mentioned? We'll call him H. I later learned that H was in a relationship with her, but was pretty much asexual. So seemingly I was suddenly in a polyamorous relationship.

I didn't really care. I hardly ever saw H at first. V would text me whenever she wanted to hook up and her room was pretty much always empty. Messy... but seemingly empty. So I didn't care. I learned that H and V had a pact to get married after college, but in the meantime, V had a deal with H that she could mess around with all the guys she wanted until then. I'm not one to judge. I had met all kinds of people in my pick up shenanigans. H told me himself, that V was his best friend above all, and that he helped her go after what she liked. Which at the time was me.

Our exploits abounded, and neither of us could get enough. Her insatiable appetite brought me into some really interesting situations from day one, but there were plenty others. One night, she texted me:
"How early can you meet tomorrow? I want morning sex"
"I have a class around 9:30... It's kind of early"
"I want to swallow you for breakfast... plleeaaassee?"

How could I say no? The next morning I got up early, around 7:30 and went to her dorm. "Come on, " she said "follow me!". We weren't using her dorm as usual? Interesting. So I followed her. It turns out there was a back staircase in the dorm that led to an awkward door that didn't open from the outside. We went to the bottom. And got to work.

Cue a marathon session. I have no idea how we didn't get caught. It was loud. And long. And strong. By the time we were done she couldn't stop giggling. A permanent dumb grin plastered on her face. And I was late for class.

We got back to the top of the steps and I found out our good fortune had been orchestrated. She had a lookout staged at the top of the stairs. Not H, some guy I never met again. I should have gotten his name.. But it wasn't important then.

After that day, she started texting me she loved me. I never said it back. I actually know what that word means, and I knew she didn't really mean it, even if she thought she did.

A few weeks passed, and I started catching a whiff of drama. Of course. It was about damn time with my luck. My university had a confessions page for awhile. A page where students could confess secrets to the admin, and have them anonymously posted.

Well, I knew V occasionally hooked up with other guys, but never had an idea how many, and it wasn't against our rules, so I didn't care. I wasn't surprised to see a confession calling her out on being slutty. Sometimes she like to wear some shorts with "F*** Me" printed on the back, and this Anonymous poster was calling her out on the confession page for it. Words were swapped, hilarity ensued. And that was all for awhile. Short lived, but drama nonetheless. From experience, I knew she would pick a main and stick with them (me) so I wasn't worried.

A few weeks passed, and apparently it was time for V's birthday. I didn't know this until the day before when she found me and told me "she wanted to do something special" for it. "Like what?" I said, curious.

"I want to have a threesome with you and H".

At this point, almost any movie/show I see I can figure out what will happen 2-5 minutes in advance, and then eventually the ending, or plot twists. When you see enough of anything you start to see the trends.

Remember how I talked about college being no fun without meeting new people? Well around the time I started hanging out with A and J, I had made the decision to up my game. A decision to meet as many new people (women) as possible. I started watching those youtubers who go out and get chicks numbers and took notes and copied them all around campus. And I was pretty good at it. It's sort of insane what you can say to a woman if you're having fun and being confident. Also you'd be surprised how many chicks who were actually in relationships still gave me their number.

I started hooking up with a few chicks whose numbers I had gotten. It was fun for awhile, but nothing serious ever came out of it. I know now these were empty interactions, but this was who I was experimenting with being during this time.

One day I was sitting the common area at the bottom of my dorm, waiting for a friend to show up so we could go do whatever and hang out. Nothing special was going on, but as I was sitting there, a girl walked up to me. She sat next to me and said "Hey! Mind if I sit here?" "No, of course not!" I said. We started talking a bit. Her dad was apparently a software engineer at some company. That was cool, I just started my major in Computer Science. Suddenly she stopped, and said "Hey... can I show you something on my phone?" with a furtive glance towards me and around the room. "Sure! why not?". She got out her phone and swiped around a bit, and then held it up to my face.

"I like your hair. Do you want to have sex?"

It was a picture with those words on it. Looked like it came from Tumblr or something similar. A rush of adrenaline came over me and my pickup techniques went into high gear. "You mean right now??" "Yeah" she said. "I think you're cute..". "I'm sort of waiting for someone right now haha.." I said, looking around to see if they were coming. "Oh don't worry, I'm sure they won't mind too much if you're a little late...follow me!"

She got up and walked towards the other side of the dorm. I thought we were heading to the elevators, but then she took a sharp right. We were going to the bathroom that was down here. "I'll go in first. Wait a few minutes and then knock"

So I did.

It got hot and heavy real quick. I don't think my heart has ever pumped as fast. We started making out and I put her on top of the sink after we had removed our clothes. "Wow, are you serious??" "Yeah" I said.

And them my mom called my phone.

Instant mood killer. I made an excuse and just left after that. "Sorry haha, this was sort of weird anyway " I said. I went to go meet my friend (who was still late anyway lol). But that was far from the last time I'd see her. What I didn't know was that she actually lived in the same dorm as me, on the same floor as me. On the same hall. Just on the other side.

I was walking down to the cafeteria again one day and we bumped into each other on the stairwell. This time she had another dude with her. "Oh. Hey!" She said. "Oh HEY!" I said back. The blood was racing again. "Sorry about before..." she said. "I've been thinking and I was wondering if you wanted to try again..?". Who was I to turn that down? "Hahaha. I mean ok." The guy looked interested, confused, but chill. We swapped numbers.

She texted me later that night. And that was the start of my first FWB relationship. I'll refer to her as V from now on. And it might not seem like it yet, but she's a big part of this story.

This one actually warrants a second (maybe third too depending..) post to fill out the story. I won't post it immediately. As always, I'll share it when we get to the next page.

As I mentioned. I couldn't believe what I had done. Suffice to say I pretty much cut off that friend group. In another unrelated decision, I decided to change my major to computer science around this time. I didn't want to have to get a phD to make monay.

So being the socially capable guy I was, I decided to reinvent myself and meet some new people. I decided I needed to force myself to be more outgoing. Luckily I had some other friends that weren't connected to the first group I mentioned that I just happened to meet in classes. They were very reliable fall back people while I waited to find a new group.

One day I sat down in one of the dorm cafeterias and was shortly swarmed by a group of people saying "This is our spot!" They were joking and seemed fun so I opted to not move and started talking to them. Later I figured out that one of them, a girl (not important), was actually in my orientation group! Fun stuff.

The two stars of this post, are part of this friend group. And this is just their first story. We'll call them A, and J. I didn't meet A and J immediately. They weren't a part of that first chance meeting. But were mutual friends with the main group.

Who I did meet first though was S. S was a dancer. A lady. Her and I seemed to hit it off the most out of the new crew. She seemed nice, but my "complicated past" senses were tingling and my curiosity was piqued. Our story is short compared to my time with A and J. But it's interesting and funny, and it fits chronologically so I'll put it here.

Like I said, S and I were becoming fast friends. I found out she did indeed have a bit of a complicated past including a high school BF who apparently literally cried after she refused a certain oral sex act. That was all fun. But soon she started seeking time alone with me. The only problem was, I didn't actually find her attractive in that way. I tried not to lead her on, but somehow or another we ended up alone in her dorm after hanging out with the group a bit before.

It was innocent enough at first. We were going to make smores! She had been on her phone a bit though. And when I got a text a few minutes into hanging out in her room I figured out why.

She had been texting our other friend, J2, for advice about me. Except my name was right next to J2's in S's phone and she accidentally (lol I actually think it was on purpose, but I still don't actually know) texted me:

"Should I make a move on Thunder_54?"

I was really confused at first so I showed her and was like "Wat?"

She got really embarrassed and said "You weren't supposed to get that..." and then followed up with "well..?"

And then I let her down and left after explaining I still wanted to be friends, but wasn't interested in her that way. We've laughed about it a few times since.

But of course everything has consequences, and part of that was me avoiding the main group for awhile. That's where A and J come in. They were bros. Not literally, but they had become bros here at college. I started hanging out with them after learning that they both played guitar. And played WELL.

You see, I played violin at the varsity level in high school. And I had started really missing music in college. So I got a bass guitar. And who better to teach me to play it than these two?? Our friendship grew quickly and strongly. We hung out almost every day and I started smoking with them. There was a practice room in our dorm next to the common area that we jammed in regularly. And that's where the next major reason I left PotD comes in... But more on that next post.

Ultimately these people gave me reasons to stay out in the real world and not be on PotD. But this isn't even the half of it. This was probably the least dramatic post. ;D

College. What could be more exciting, right? At first I didn't really plan on leaving PotD.. but life has a funny way of letting our choices slip from our fingers. I would be rooming with my sisters serious boyfriend. He was one year older than I was, and I was really happy to not have to room with randoms my first year.

But what's college if you play it safe and only surround yourself with those you already know? Of course, I wasn't of that mindset at first.. so we'll come back to that concept in another post.

For now, I was trudging off to my first classes, and enjoying all of the activities the university put on for incoming freshman. I had amassed a smallish group of some people from my high school to hang out with and explore all the new opportunities on campus. Most were simply extras in this story, but one is one of the reason's I left PotD.

This girl, We'll call her T, and I had been friends since middle school. Our past was perilous, and for lack of better descriptors, sexy. Her and I shared almost constant sexual tension between the ages of 14 and 18. Sly touches, innuendos, fake moans, and revealing clothes were our story for the better parts of those years. But we never crossed that line (except for one time at a concert hall. In the dark. next to our classmates..). You see, T was pretty damn attractive.. and she was almost ALWAYS in a relationship. Maybe that's what made it fun for her. Teasing me (and other guys no doubt) with something I knew I shouldn't go for...

Well now we were in college, and she had been dating one of my best friends in high school for over half a year.. But the story continues..

We both had chosen the same major oddly enough, and our friend group started regularly hanging out in her dorm room and doing homework. It all started out innocent enough. I'd meet up after classes, and so would the others in the group. We'd all shoot the s*** and talk about what happened that day and even help each other with homework if it was needed. But even still, the old traditions of our relationship kept rearing up like a club dancer rears her ass into your pelvis to dance.

One night she texted me. "Do you remember that time in the concert hall..?" "Yeah I think so", I replied. "haha that was fun. I can't believe we did that" she said. "Lol yeah". I tried to play it off. I knew where this was going. She was still dating my good friend.. I couldn't.. I shouldn't. "You know, I've been reallly frustrated these first few weeks".. "Oh Yeah class can be stressful" I'd say back. "No. Sexually" she would say.

"oh".

"Maybe we can help each other..?" she would say.

"T... you're dating <my friends name>. I know he's not here, but I don't think it's a good idea.."

"ok." she would say.
And that was it.. for awhile.

Of course she still flirted. I couldn't help but flirt back. She started wearing.. less.. when I showed up to study at her place. Nothing outrageous, as others were present, but a t-shirt and pants turned into a tank top and short shorts. A couple more weeks passed. I thought I had put the rest behind me.

We were in her room one night. Studying as usual. But something was different. She was REALLY aggressive about flirting this time. Eventually everyone in my friend group wanted to go to an on-campus event, but I still needed to finish homework. And so did T.

So they left us. Alone.
And then it happened. I helped my friend's girlfriend cheat with me.
I couldn't believe what I had done.

They broke up a few weeks later for unrelated reasons. I have talked to her maybe twice since that time. And the others too. Like I said, they were extras. Never really important to this story.
So there you have it. The first reason I left.

The LG G5.

I'm lusting after the G6 though. I have to wait a few years for an upgrade though. By then the G7 will probably be out.

But it seems like the odd iterations of these phones aren't as good as the evens :(. We'll just have to wait and see.

Eh, what I listed is the safest way to go about it.

TBH half the time I do something to a machine at work I do like two of those things. (I usually don't wear a static bracelet.. I won't tell if you don't ;D)
