And thus far that holds to be true despite TC pulling a switcheroo on her, and she would have had every right to tell him off.

You guys won't believe what happened. Somehow I got logged out of tinder, and now I can't log back in. It needs a facebook. I didn't have one previously. So I made one just to use tinder. But I made it using a temporary email address. Not my real one. Plus I forgot the password I used. So I have no way of getting into that account. And since I can't, it means that I've lost all the likes I had on tinder, including this girl I was talking to. I didn't get a chance to ask for her number. So there's no way I can contact again. I'm so upset! :(

Is there not a password recovery? Exactly how many email addresses do you have? You can't remember which one you used?

Something that I've noticed is that most people can't take any amount of discomfort to their schedule whatsoever, even if only temporary.

Like there is a girl that I know that has some financial issues that recently happened to her. She has finally gotten a new job and thats cool, but then I suggested "Hey maybe to get back on your feet quicker, you should try applying at a place near your house and maybe working weekends for a few months" Hell we even did the math and figured it would be about 3 to 5 months of doing that and she would be financially back on track as long as there were no new hiccups

Nope, she wouldn't even consider it though. I guess I just have a different mentality than most others.

Gym Shoes
Gym Clothes
Extra pair of underwear
Sandals (for use in the shower)
Towel
Lock
A plastic bag to put my dirty gym clothes in after working out

I think thats it. I don't bring deodorant because I keep it in my drawer at my office (usually I go to the gym during work hours and go back to work afterward). Otherwise I typically go home right after going to the gym and shower so still no need for deodorant.

Fair enough to a degree but if that's the case then they should stop messaging if all they are going to do is give one word answers. It's essentially a conversation stopper. I can carry a convo but I need SOMETHING to work with is all I'm asking.

Most people are looking for attractive people tho...including men

FYI by saying that girls end up "disappearing" after a little small talk, that's somewhat signaling to her that there's something about you that keeps them from continuing to talk. Handsome successful doctor and he can't keep a girls attention? Red flags are already going up in her mind

That being said I feel your pain on chicks that have no idea how to carry a conversation but expect the dude to do so. I'll agree that's annoying.

Huh? Owning damn near anything is generally going to cost more than renting it (almost always in the long run, but very often even in the short run)

Think of it like this... if I pay 5 dollars to rent a pair of shoes every time I go bowling, once I go 10 times I'll have spent 50 dollars on shoes. Now say I buy my own pair of bowling shoes for 50 dollars and go bowling with them 11 times. :v I've now saved 5 dollars because I didn't have to rent the shoes.

I assumed houses worked the same way.

Ah you're talking about little/simple stuff

I thought we were talking strictly about houses and boats and cars and stuff. Perhaps I shouldn't have made the assumption.

Well, I just kind of assumed it would hold true for bigger things too. :u Just... bigger numbers.

Well the biggest difference between a pair of shoes and a say a house in general is:

1. You put down a down payment and continue to pay into it over time (99% of cases). You don't do that with a pair of bowling shoes

2. You're going to have to pay for maintenance and repairs and interest(99% of cases) on a house.

3. You'll also have to pay insurance.

Basically there are extraneous expenses with owning a house compared to owning shoes, where you just make a purchase and never have to put any more money into the asset.

I wonder, does the house payment end up costing more than renting when you factor in maintenance?

a mortgage is almost always going to be more than rent, even of a comparable size, without factoring in maintenance.

you really have a lot to learn, young grasshopper. :u

Hmm... I guess I just always assumed that owning something was cheaper than just being loaned it. :u Houses must be more complicated.

The promise of "greater opportunities", especially in a climate of an acquisition, is not guaranteed by any stretch regardless of what your boss says.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of leaving a job for a contract position typically, however it does sound like the position will net you some experience that you are actually interested in. All that makes this a bit more complicated than what I normally hear.

Ultimately I would probably take the contract position and try my luck getting resigned on / finding new work at the end of the 12 month period.

hmm so they don't enunciate the decimal point, so what they mean is their actually 'batting a 0.100'.

1. Correct they don't typically enunciate the decimal point
2. So when they say "batting a thousand" they really mean "batting 1.000", which is

1.000=1=100%

All this to simply mean that the person hasn't failed yet at whatever it is they are attempting.

Success 10% of the time.

The first one I can understand. 100=100%. But the 2nd one, how does it mean 10% success? I know close to nothing about baseball

In baseball, the batting stats are usually shown with 3 decimal places. So for example, someone with a .353 batting average is typically said as "batting 353" or "has a three fifty three batting average". 353 is representative of hitting the ball 35.3% of the time

So if someone is batting 1000, that's actually represented with 1.000

.100 is 10%

I hope all that is correct

You don't take those kinds of measures unless you assume bad shit is going to happen.

Uhhhhh, what? Do you put your seatbelt on when you get in the car? Why? Do you assume you're going to get into an accident? Or are you just preparing for the worst, and hoping for the best? Do you try to hide the act of putting on your seatbelt so that you don't make your passengers think you're assuming you're going to crash?

The answer is no, because that's ridiculous. Just like getting personally offended at a benign precaution that has nothing to do with assumptions about somebody's person.

Im going to jump in on this one. I put on my seatbelt because I assume if I crash I will get seriously hurt or worse. I assume if a cop sees me, I will get a pretty little fine.

But you don't automatically assume that a crash is going to happen or that you will drive by a cop. It's a "just in case" measure
