Kirby doesn't exactly need to go out of his way to play a defensive battle here. He has ranged options that his opponent does not, not using them would be silly and Kirby doesn't really favor melee vs ranged he just does whatever is needed.

Also I still say Tira is stronger than Crono at close range. Bad styles matchup. Crono trying to attack her with flurry strikes from all sides isn't that good if your opponent is typically swinging all around themselves. Just Tira's natural attack mode is a counter to him and this type of fight is more to her strengths than his.

And Kiryu = Geese is terribly underselling Kiryu. Look at the gifs dude. Nothin Geese does touches that stuff. Further Geese's style is actually really bad against a guy with a gun. Guy's style is to draw you towards him and then PREDICTABO you. If he's getting shot at his rushdown options are fairly poor and there's no incentive for them to come to him.

I can't get over that Vanille's hair color is incorrect in Record Keeper. Needs more orange and less pink.

Then on the other hand she looks right in Brave Exvius but her skillset is inaccurate can't even use Black Magic so lame.

I think his winrate in M3 was the highest in any iteration of mercs, it was just a bastardization of Sonic that did so

Well, maybe, maybe not. It gets shaky from that point cause the issues come up like who the canon party was, how the fight really played out (was Lissa constantly about to fly off the damn thing and needing someone to help her keep balance) etc etc.

Now personally to me the headcanon party is Chrom, Avatar, and a buncha Pegasus Knights/Wyvern Riders cause like hell the Avatar's masterplan is gonna deploy a buncha people that might fall.

If we're gonna go that route, one could argue Sonic jumps last since he has the least need to jump until things really fall apart because of his speed. If the ground starts crumbling under Chrom's feet, he has to jump. If it starts crumbling under Sonic's, he runs faster

It's actually Yuffie in that case since she can cover distances with no ground to run on by teleporting

I don't see this kinda stuff doing Yuffie in until there's literally no ground though. She has great jumping and agility and teleporting to correct any missed jumps. Unless you get some weird situation where she's on an island surrounded by bottomless pit it feels unlikely she'd die here.

I mean gradually breaking up could mean any amount of things. If it's breaking up quickly enough that just waiting out the terrain killing the enemy is a viable strategy against opponents with pretty good agility that isn't too gradual to me

Well it doesn't matter if he can't catch Sonic-- if he doesn't reliably die to the terrain then either the match eventually becomes either a fight or a match between the constitutions of the teams as they wait out starvation-- in which case the 50% increased human constitution and healing to repair any damage from slightly botched jumps etc lasts longest.

Also Yuffie navigates fine too-- just blasts Sonic with some magic eventually.

I personally think that in a survival battle of man vs terrain the team with healing magic and buffs probably wins out. I also think Chrom with 50% buffs and the agile teleporting Yuffie are the best at navigating the terrain.

Chrom and Yuffie could probably win this 2v2 straight up.
