My neighbors to my building have a dog, and they leave for work regularly and the poor pooch is left there howling and mourning all day, it's really hard to listen to because that's all he does, he (or she) makes these woeful sounds, and I feel bad for the pooch having to wait all day until they come back.

I just know because my sister said to blow in it.

Well, at the time most gamers hung out around the arcades, and they were also console gamers, so once it spread from the playground, to a friend's home, to the arcades, word got around that way, but other than that it was inherently a practice based off other non-related tools that usually got a benefit from blowing on them, such as people who operated ham radios, that had some parts that required the chips to be blown on.

Primarily, however, it comes from the influence of just generic batteries in electronics, particularly TV control remotes, which people did blow on or reinserted the batteries when it wasn't working.

There's actually a circa 5 minute video from a PBS YouTube channel that deals with the blowing question.

Putting them in and out was the same issue in N64 games. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

It really all depends on the right contact the chips make to the machine. Sometimes I would have to tilt the cartridge inward for it to hold up and keep playing, but if it got loose and tilted forward, the game could freeze.

Oof, that's a hard one.

Some verses require two or three or more to make the complete thought, so for one verse alone I can't include those, but for one that has a complete thought in just one verse it's Isaiah 45:21

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

In general the whole of Chapters 44-48 in Isaiah is my favorite part of the whole Bible. It is essentially God cutting a promo about himself and against his enemies at the same time.

So, due to that, Isaiah holds that spot, but it's like asking which body part I prefer.
