It really was a giant leap ahead of most other games of the times and was one that captured the feeling of what everyone wanted the long awaited Zelda game to be. The scale of the game was something that just wasn't seen back then, and Nintendo really made sure the game was very polished. Sure, the graphics are dated today but that doesn't really affect the underlying aspects that make it a great. Whether you consider it to be the greatest game ever or not, it still remains a major milestone in a genre, a franchise, and s video game era. Play it if you never have. --- Everything is awesome |
