| davidponte 06/20/17 6:06:58 PM #9 | If going 3 on 1 is what it takes to finally get a competitive match out of apparent SSW talent, then so be it, but as a 16 time World Champion was once known for, it's all about overcoming the odds, so I'm ready. However, beating up hedgehogs is not what I came to RUIN for today, although I'll gladly do it. I'm here today for one reason. I mean, I'm the Undisputed Champion of the World, and I'd never miss a show, but that's also not what I'm getting at. I'm here for CPU. Simple as that. Now, CPU isn't like most superstars here in the UCA. In fact, I'd say he's one of a kind, and that's a great thing to have in our association. Where this becomes a negative, though, is when the eccentricity is used as an excuse to think that there are no consequences for your actions. I'm calling you out, CPU, because it looks like no one else will. Where we as superstars in the UCA try our hardest to keep our federation afloat, and wear our victories, defeats, and championship gold with pride, you sit off to the side, believing that you're too good for it all, that you don't care about your fellow superstars or the UCA, and that you'd rather be anywhere else in the world. Where we as superstars in the UCA go out there night after night and continue to bust our asses with the knowledge that, yeah, maybe things aren't in the best spot they've been in, and that maybe we are in a stagnation or decline, you seem content with letting the ship sink, and are ever eager to point out where we are failing and who is to blame without offering any solutions of your own. You can put on your shield and continue to dismiss and deflect everything we say in your own little world as you continue to go off on tangents and put your effort into other promotions, such as SSW, or you can be part of the solution. I'm not here to fight you in the ring, but I'm more than happy to. As the Undisputed Champion, I too have my own commitments, and my own title to defend, but I'm not afraid to hunker down and defend my fort, and I can guarantee that I'm not the only one. There are many superstars here, such as DP, who have taken the fight to SSW in defense of the UCA. Maybe this is his fight, and I wouldn't want it to be anyone's job but his. But, what matters to me is that we're very clear here. You're either part of the solution, or part of the problem. So you can continue to hide behind your SSW friends, or you can join in with your UCA brothers, where they will welcome you with open arms. The choice is yours. Funnily enough, not too long after I made this account, I started getting called by my actual last name and variations of it at school, and that nickname has stuck with me in the almost 10 years since, to the point where it has really grown on me, and a good portion of people in high school who only knew me by name assumed it was my first name. I don't think anyone called me david by the time I reached high school. The result is that my gamefaqs name is horribly outdated with my username on every other online platform representing my nickname, which is my actual last name. Even in courses where they don't mark you on participation/attendance and it seems like there's no reason to be there, just go. It doesn't seem like it'll matter, but it does. We've seen small growth of our own over time, I just passed my one year anniversary, Emerald is quickly rising up the ranks and showing everyone that he belongs here. I'm all for continuing to grow as well. There's nothing more I'd like to see than a new group of superstars hungry to come at my title, but, there is a difference between natural growth and forced growth, or growth for the sake of it. This is a job for the UCA marketing team, not some business executives from Europe who think they know anything about the identity of this federation. As I've said time and time again, I will do all I can to defend my company from any outside invasion, hostile or not. If that means taking care of business against my own UCA brothers who choose to fall on the side of letting SSW do what they please with us, then so be it.
