Just a note, the first couple of episodes are rough in the roleplaying department because everyone is super new to it.

Just give it enough time for the second arc, and things are smooth sailing.

You sort of passively mentioned Malfunction Rolls, are you saying that if you roll badly on damage, you get a cumulative -1 on damage? Because no, stop that. I imagine you're trying to go for a weapon degredation feeling, but holy poop that's awful.
Melee people are going to be doing badly soon enough anyway when casters are passively throwing around Lightning Bolt's, and then they get screwed harder and have to remember a bunch of floating numbers? Nope, that's going to be forgot so much, nobody wants that.

Also, I think your Stat generation is off, humans get a +1 to all stats, and the barbarian has an 8, which using standard point buy (which is what I imagine you did, or some sort of array), you literally cannot start out with a 7. So somethings off.

I would also recommend giving the players the magic items through the game, rather than starting out.

You proved the overall time lost, which is fine, but that implies that someone lives a life that goes exactly 100 years, which is kinda useless.
Saying a fraction of an overall time unit, is just as valid and you don't have to make grand assumptions about people. The math is a bit fuzzy at the end (ie they died on the same day), but it's better than assuming overall life expectancy.

I don't see how the math is bad either.

All alcohols can act as poisons

I'd go one step further and say that alcohol itself is poison.

If moderate ethanol consumption could kill, you'd have a point but since our bodies are designed to metabolize it safely and for some the resulting intoxication is enjoyable, your whole "schtick" is pointless.

"Safely" to a point, the liver isn't immutable. Also you can still die of alcohol poisoning, it's not that hard, you just need to drink enough of it.
Also, it being enjoyable doesn't mean anything, it's a drug and can be used as a poison pretty easily. It's not as effective as other poisons, but poison never the less.

To be clear, I don't give a shit if people drink or not, just don't lie to yourself that it's not bad for you. Same thing with cigarettes.

You mean bootleg moonshine w the poison comment.

People who produce bootleg moonshine are still making it from corn mash. They also drink it to get drunk and sell it to others to get drunk. So producing a deadly product isn't really an option, ignoring the inherent danger in consuming copious amounts of very pure ethanol.

It's not the ethanol amount, it's the byproducts from the distilling process that if you don't do properly, can make you go blind over time. Even wine can have some debris in it, that stuff isn't bad, but people just are grossed out from it.
Also, making it from corn is how you make it in the first place, if you make it from something else, say potatoes, you get something else, say vodka.

Moonshine is actually a poison disguised as liqour that includes special chemicals to fool the drinker in believing Moonshine is actually good.

I'm not a saying it's good and it's potency can allow it to serve other purposes, since alcohol is a good slightly polar solvent, antiseptic, fuel, antifreeze, and preservative. There are no special chemicals or dangerous poisons in moonshine. It's just very pure ethanol.

All alcohols can act as poisons, some only requiring small doses, some requiring huge doses. True moonshine produces highly purified ethanol from corn mash which while very strong and not delicious, is relatively safe for human consumption at controlled doses.

Wine is much weaker in potency, produced from grapes and is primarily only used for drinking and cooking.

It should be noted that the drunk effect due to consumption of moonshine or wine (or beer and other distilled spirits) is from the ethanol.

I love how you both described in detail, and said nothing everyone didn't already know.
