The most common Anti-Jigglypuff character is Fox, and jigglypuff has to basically hang on to the ledge a lot and wait for a good opportunity or just wait for mistakes in general. She's a glass cannon and since players play to avoid Rest (basically an instant kill) the matches get a little slow and people throw a lot of the hate on HBox for it.

It's silly because matches don't even go to timeout unless it's

A: Jigglypuff vs. Peach, a horrible and slow match-up since both characters are slow and floaty meaning no real combos

B: Jigglypuff vs. Ice Climbers, since Ice Climbers get a stock off a grab. A timeout happened that Hbox won recently that caused a lot of controversy.

honestly, how do you enjoy watching the same 8 guys every year with the same characters?

I actually prefer spectating Smash 4 because of the upsets. Five really, really good players drowned in pools, including the #1 and #2 from last EVO. There's enough good players that Top 8s usually comprise of top 10-20 players but you really will never have an idea of which ones unless the dust settles

If melee matches go on too long why don't they set it to two lives instead of 3?

melee matches use 4 stock, smash 4 dropped 3 stock in early 2015 outside of EU and Texas who happen to be pretty bad because more stocks means their players adapt less quickly(though both have gone to 2 stock by now)

Why must the government provide abortions and pregnancy services?

Worth pointing out that the vast majority of what Planned Parenthood provides falls under;

-Cancer screening/prevention.
-STI/STD testing/treatment.
-Contraceptives.

The reason assistance should be provided is because it supports the financial wellbeing of the nation and lowers abortion rates. More protection and more education = more safe sex, meaning less unwanted pregnancies, meaning less:

A: Poverty traps.
B: Abortions.

Logistically, it's good for society to prevent these things if possible, especially poverty traps where single parenthood at a young age occurs.

Understanding how babies are made does not educate you on the scope of the financial consequences, nor does the most basic information prevent you from learning misinformation about sex if you aren't properly educated about it - hence a school should teach it, and schools in Texas are very prohibitive about teaching sex at all.

Self responsibility. Why should the government be responsible for peoples poor decision making skills.

Let me spell this one out: There is always going to be areas in society where people make dumb mistakes. The problem with a hands-off attitude is that these kinds of mistakes increase the poverty rate in the United States - which is not an insular issue only affecting the person in question. It has the capacity to affect you if it gets bad enough.

People can't be trusted to make the correct decisions, so we provide goods and services where practical to those affected by poverty. It isn't really a common thought of the average American that:

"Hey, you had sex at the wrong time, so you should have your entire life upended."

...Which is the core issue, and PP helps prevent this from being the case by providing contraceptives so this never becomes an issue. But now, you have people wanting to defund them even though it demonstrably makes society worse - more unstable, more prone to unrest.

The fact that social safety nets are reduced on top of people being more vulnerable to financial traps at a very young age is just more fuel to the fire, and it's highly hypocritical coming from a party that claims to hold Christian values.

What passage of the Bible said "Go, my child, but if you have sex without a condom, may ye and your child be condemned to single montherhood at 16."?

It's just a blatant lie that these Republican politicians care about fetuses. They stop caring the moment any financial incentives have to be allocated towards the well being and development of the now-born child. Abortion is strictly an emotional pet issue for the Republican party to drudge up images in peoples' heads that compel them to vote based on emotion without analyzing how little the Republican party actually cares about children and their well being.

1: You propose a solution - people stop having sex.

2: People do not conform to this standard due to human biology.

3: Your solution has failed.

4: Instituting policies that assume your solution has worked is now both illogical and immoral.

Republicans here have solutions that are antithetical to what they're attempting to accomplish. I agree with reducing the rate of abortions as much as possible, but:

A: Outlawing them doesn't get rid of them and leads to black market engorgement in the worst possible places (poor communities in the south.)

B: Defunding a family planning organization, whaddaya know, means that pregnancy rates increase, which will increase abortion rates the younger the pregnancies are.

Reality does not allow for a puritan mindset to coincide with lower rates of abortion, pregnancy, STDs, etc. A large number of states have demonstrated this by having high rates of pregnancies, abortions, & STDs in spite of strong abstinence policy.

Fuck Texas' legislature.
