Best equipped and technologically advanced, sure. But according to that site, Japan only has 300,000 total military personnel while North Korea has 6.5 million.

Beever’s case was caused by the infected hairball in her stomach, and eventually led to a burst ulcer that caused her organs to shut down.

Did she not go to the hospital for that? I've had a perforated ulcer in my stomach before and that's not exactly something that goes unnoticed.

I think there is actually a powerful solar storm that will hit us tomorrow too.

Yeah there was a solar flare a few days ago which released a electromagnetic wave that's probably going to EMP the entire eastern seaboard along with all of Africa and most of the important parts of Europe. It should be here tomorrow or Monday iirc.

Lol when people inevitably blame that on climate change

I checked spaceweather to see if they had any info on that and the first thing I see are the words THE STORM IS OVER.

I don't remember ever hearing that it did.

From the first article:
The discovery of simple, shaftless feathers on Dilong paradoxus, a 2-metre-long basal tyrannosauroid from the early Cretaceous of China, led to the suggestion that the tyrannosauroids as a group were feathered. Since the tyrannosauroids also includes the late Cretaceous heavyweight superstars that people have heard of, such as Tyrannosaurus, Albertosaurus and Gorgosaurus, this idea gained much interest.

This evidence led to people speculating that Tyrannosaurus may have had feathers. But I don't recall anyone ever saying anything beyond, "Tyrannosaurus might have had feathers."

Well this guy at least heavily suggests it. I mean, Lucy is always depicted as having hair isn't she?

From wiki source:

https://www.wired.com/2012/04/yutyrannus-huali-feathers/

As for the possibility of a plumed T. rex, “We have as much evidence that T. rex was feathered, at least during some stage of its life, as we do that australopithecines like Lucy had hair,” said Mark Norell of the American Museum of Natural History.

“It’s an exciting time to be a dinosaur paleontologist,” said Norell. The feather findings “have rocked the world in terms of how we think of” dinosaurs, he said. “Instead of giant lizards, they were basically weird birds.”

Thing is even before feather imprints were found Dinosaurs similarities to birds was known by scientists. The shape of their skeletons was a large indicator.

I have never understood the problem people have with dinosaurs be By related to birds or feathered dinosaurs. Birds can look intimidating.

I'm pretty sure most people aren't plugging coax cables into their computers.

Here's a more appropriate and non-cherry-picked representation of the fluctuation of temperatures throughout the Earths history.

Take particular note of the Eemian period where temperatures fluctuated at a much greater rate and in ratios that are consistent with current trends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eemian

The sample size and time has been to short for human interference to have a credible effect on the climate.

The problem with that graph is that the graph is compressed to a small size which makes the changes seem like they happened much more quickly than they actually did. The xkcd graph makes the problem with climate change more apparent by allowing you to contrast the sudden jump in temperature with the previous gradual changes.

That is a much bolder claim than "their predictions were off". Wanna share your sources?

East Anglia's computer model, which artificially increased temperature data after 1970 so make shit look worse.

It's in the fucking code notes. Like, it literally says that they're intentionally manipulating the data. Remove the code, and every prediction made looks a fuckton closer to actual happenstance.

So do you have a link? I'm interested.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/congress-may-probe-leaked-global-warming-e-mails/

Skip past the shit about the emails that nobody - including me - gives two fucks about. They show the actual comments in the code.

America's EPA uses this model to shape policy to this very day.

Programmer-written comments inserted into CRU's Fortran code have drawn fire as well. The file briffa_sep98_d.pro says: "Apply a VERY ARTIFICAL correction for decline!!" and "APPLY ARTIFICIAL CORRECTION." Another, quantify_tsdcal.pro, says: "Low pass filtering at century and longer time scales never gets rid of the trend - so eventually I start to scale down the 120-yr low pass time series to mimic the effect of removing/adding longer time scales!"

So what are these correcting for specifically?
