I never knew anything about his controversial side, but I did watch a couple of his LPs back in 2008/2009.

I also remember the retsupurae video about him. I figured he was targeted just because he's another guy originally from SomethingAwful. That one seemed a bit more personal than the usual retsupurae video since I didn't really get what he was doing that was so bad. DC's style is just uninteresting.

The latest computer models seem to be encouraging for Florida, but not so great for South Carolina. GFS began a trend last night indicating a more easterly trajectory, and others have followed suit. Unfortunately it won't be enough and if those models hold true, the Carolinas could expect a significant impact before it gets carried back out into the Atlantic.

Obviously Puerto Rico is still in bad shape, as are the Bahamas.

I enjoy Paper Mario and TTYD so much more than SMRPG. I'd put Super Paper Mario, Super Star Saga and Bowser's Inside Story ahead of it, too.

SMRPG is still a pretty decent game, though. I'm not a fan of the graphical style and so many of the characters and environments feel so bland compared with the first Paper Mario games. But at its core, it's more fun than most RPGs and there's still some charm and humor there.

Super Mario 64 is up there for my first experience with 3D movement. Only a month later was my first time playing Descent and getting a taste of first-person shooter gameplay. For a long time afterward it made other first-person shooters feel like a step backward because it gave such complete freedom of movement.

Descent was probably the bigger "mind blow" because it was the first time a game ever gave me apprehension about an upcoming encounter.

Well, traditionally skinhead wasn't synonymous with white supremacist. It still isn't really, but as I recall it got painted as such in a tabloid moral panic which wound up attracting neo-nazis to what had originally been a far-right fringe. That side grew and continued getting more attention.

But skinheads were originally just a punk/ska thing without a cohesive political doctrine aside from being Marxist.

Orioles acquire Hellickson for Kim and other pieces they badly didn't need to give up.

Angelos is really gunning for another dark age before he passes.

EDIT: Kind of an overreaction since I thought at first that this was a move to compete. It's just to get another starter to spread around work load until the end. Unfortunately a lot of time has passed because Dan Duquette and Angelos have waited to pull any triggers for trades. I was really hoping early on that Machado and Brach would be traded away, but buyers are limited.

I'm still bracing myself for Kim and Cleavinger to turn things around.
